Devote your whole life to learn spells and in the end slap your opponent with the study book !
ОтветитьHonestly souls magic is one of the best systems I’ve played/seen. It’s so interesting and deeply entrenched in lore and I love that shit
ОтветитьThere is so much poetry in Elden ring's universe, and your Channel magnifies it best 👍👌
Ответить10/10
ОтветитьNo mention of Wilhelm in a video about cosmic sorcery!? You're slacking, Vaati. :P The Errant Sorcerer Wilhelm witnessed the Primeval Current and he didn't turn vegetable like the "masters" did. He even learned to cast Stars of Ruin after glimpsing it and he did it all without any glintstone in his staff nor in his crown. His crown was that of a Heirodas Crown, which appears to be a piece of the Black Moon, like Memory Stones, which makes sense since he's a Sellian considering the Night spells he uses. He was said to be locked away in the Roundtable Hold after a confrontation with Vargram, but we see them fighting together, and we see Wilhelm in Hermit Village, so he both got free and made up with his buddy. It's a story that I feel is right up your alley, so I hope to see one of your cinematic videos on it at some point! <3
ОтветитьWow Sellen is gorgeous 😍
ОтветитьIf I Rembert correctly there was someone in one of vaaty contest that imagined a new DLC for some souls game that was all about star and astrology, my dude really predicted the future
ОтветитьIt's really crazy to think about how powerful Rennala really is as a sorceress. The version we fight is only a projection created by Ranni, probably the most ideal version of her mother she can envision--but it's not actually her. It doesn't have her mind and agency, so one can only imagine how intensely powerful Rennala must have been before she lost her mind.
ОтветитьIt is truly wonderful the things this program did for us all!
ОтветитьYou sound so much like Exurb1a! You've even got the classical music down 😂
ОтветитьThis reminds me of Bloodborne so much. Could it be that FromSoft was actually working on BB2 and decided to incorporate the lore/areas/themes into Elden Ring instead?
ОтветитьHe should do this kind of video but with incantation and the outer gods
ОтветитьHey! I heard that No Rolls Barred BotC music in the background. You can't fool me! :)
Ответитьoh damn... Sellen is a babe
ОтветитьOh my god, i just throw rocks
They have studied hard and long to learn how to throw rocks better and harder
They even gave their whole mental stability to learn how to throw rocks in a cooler way
All you do in this game with sorceries is just throw rocks
You even learn gravity magic to throw rocks from the ground
Hell you even learn how to summon rocks from nothing
Every magician is just a glorified caveman
I was kind of bummed Renalla didn't have any dialog about Selen at the end of the quest :(
ОтветитьThe end game to Sellen's quest is probably one of the creepiest things in Elden Ring next to Shabriri. Adds a horrific realization to those giant balls of heads
ОтветитьLevel 20 One Shot, the druid shapechanged into Ogremoch with an extra 526 HP
ОтветитьAnyone else notice the subtle use of "Droknar's Forge" from the Guild Wars soundtrack? I fucking LOVE that song. Thank you Vaati
ОтветитьY'all do know Mequela/Malenia did not lose right.
ОтветитьThe Guild Wars 1 OST works surprisingly well
Ответитьgw2 ost ! ! ! ! ! !
ОтветитьIf the sorcerers of the lazuli Conspectus are heretics that see the moon as an equal to the stars then why are they hanging around the academy with the other sorcerers? Why aren’t they loyal to the carian royal family?
ОтветитьMy theory is that founding rain was created by both lusat and azur
ОтветитьMan watching this just makes me wanna spend another 100hours on a sorcerer build. Amazing video, i swear without you i would barely know whats goin on in such an epic game. Thank you
ОтветитьMy favourite section of lore in any fromsoft game so far is the war between the Golden Order and the Carian Royal Family, bc the knights are just so fucking cool
ОтветитьHey Byf. Nice to see you doing some Elden ring!
ОтветитьThis is a comment to appreciate Vaati's INCREDIBLE work on the video, great transitions, music, artwork! Always on top, keep up the good work!
ОтветитьWhat I would really love to understand is how are sorceries and incantations actually cast? With incantations I’d assume that either the user would have to do some sort of movement or gesture or verbally speak a phrase or whatever.
With sorceries though I would have no idea. How would a sorcerer channel their catalyst to change which spell they use?
By extension I wonder how the scrolls actually teach sorcerers to use the spells described in them.
It's one of my favourite videos ever, great job
ОтветитьI demand a book!!. Actually an audio book!!! Please make it happen
ОтветитьNocturne in e minor. Beautiful choice
Ответить"I want to know what's in this current that's driving everybody insane."
Are you sure?
"the cosmos, of course!"
ОтветитьI still don't agree with the theory of radagon having ALWAYS been Marika, I don't think that is the case, and I also think it's more interesting and more George rr Martin of the story for radagon to be an extremely devout fundamentalist of the golden order which may have been fueled by a seething and incredible self hatred of being of the giant race which was indicative of his red hair, which the game goes out of its way to tell you that radagon has a deep shame and hate of his red hair because it is telling of his giant race lineage and goes whole hog in being a devout G/O dog at there full beck and call that's interesting as hell!! Ofcourse the Golden order would want THAT LEVEL OF DEDICATION and to keep it close in order TO KEEP MARIKA IN CHECK!!! but they didn't account for how strong she was and how defiant which is why she still managed to shatter the elden ring and why radagon is still trying to fix it so tenaciously! It's single greatest shame he's trying to mend the only thing that gives him meaning keep the golden order alive just with what he has, that's such a struggle!
ОтветитьI do wonder if the Haima, Heirodus Conspectuses and Nox blindfold themselves so they do not manifest the stars. As you said, simply witnessing the stars could manifest them, and if they are attempting to keep their minds clear from the allure of the primeval current/stars/moon it would make sense they are keeping themselves from manifesting those influences. The night sorceries after all do not rely on glintstones, and the crown of Heirodas may still keep the user's mind open as the top is not covered, yet not infused with glintstones.
ОтветитьSo have you made a video about the amber starlight? I only heard a brief touch on it in miquella video. I keep on thinking as i was watching this video that since Seluvis thinks amber starlight is more special than thr ubiquitous blue starlight shard, then gold Elden Stars and what they represent are also greater than primeval current represented by blue stars. I mean, do you really believe primeval current is possibly the first to exist. You said maybe the first or one of the first, the latter would accomodate Greater Will. But does the former option really make sense considering that golden stars are not in the same category as blue stars? Even if sorcerers say that primeval current is the first it does not mean we have to believe them right? For one, it contradicts Hyetta’s genesis story. Her first principle is the one great, and a current is not one, because a current implies movement from one to another, even if it is supposed to be a metaphor for something non-temporal, which is doubtful considering that it is empirically observed, not deduced a priori. So since primeval current is not one absolute simplicity then it differs from Hyetta’s myth. Both cannot be correct. Nor do i think the pantheistic one great of the three fingers mythology more plausible. It seems like this one great, like primveak current, both cause madness when perceived - meaning they are more akin to matter than a priori logic. Because logic does not cause madness, being characteristically intelligible and simple. Sure paradoxes exist that evokes unintelligibility, but arguably they pertain to impure logic like math, or they pertain to assertoric truth statements like liar paradox, again not pure a priori, maybe what Kant would call synthetic a priori but not analytic a priori. Furthermore primeval current/one great actually generate the world of elden ring like a demiurge or matter. But matter, no matter how ubiquitously essential to everything empirical/assertoric , cannot account for the existence of a priori logic. So even if the greater will comes from Frenzy one great or primeval current, the theoretical order it discovers/create through reason is not necessarily created by one great or primeval current
I say “not necessarily” because idk if miyazaki is a platonist or empiricist. I dont even understand why golden order is associated with faith and empirical starhazing associated with intel. Of course golden order is not exactly a priori logic but kind of closer relatively. And with its concept-entity like destined death, it is closer to platonism than astrological blue sect’s primeval “the force” and magic rocks
Sometimes idk what these ppl are thinking.
And why would they make sorceries that you find by the roadside in dull gelmir and some early level caelid cave more metaphysically more important, which is to say, actually more important, than incantations found in the depths of leyndell subtarrenean areas that has an importance great enough to determine game ending (frenzy), in farum azula (destined death), in deeproot depths (elden stats, which is like a remembrance gift from the final boss)?
The magic in Elden Ring feels far more fleshed out than the magic in Dark Souls in my opinion. Every bit of magic has a clearly defined source of inspiration or power while at the same time still keeping to the basics Miyazaki created in Dark Souls.
The lore’s been seriously upgraded in detail and quality. Which makes sense, the guys improved as a creator with every project.
I've had this video saved to watch since it came out. Finally getting around to watch it. The editing is phenomenal as always
Ответитьcant wait to play as a mage
ОтветитьSellen is based
ОтветитьSellen is based

ОтветитьMaybe gideon somehow turned seluvises potion into a mist?
ОтветитьDo I hear guildwars theme music at the end of the video there;)? classico, really like it and the video playlist very much thank you
ОтветитьSneak the chopin nocturne
ОтветитьEvery video you make makes me want to play Elden Ring so, so bad. I understand fully why people are obsessed with it.
