Please continue making these “insider” videos with details we’d otherwise never know or appreciate. It is also wonderful to hear the names and details of the craftsmen and lesser known people connected to these beautiful artifacts. Thanks very much!

So funny. I have watch a couple of things now about the "black prince" but didn't know his name until now.
His name name being Edward Plantagenet makes him a however many grandfather of mine. Because I do know he had plantagenet kings as ancestors.
My aunt was doing the research on ancesty and somehow all the info got deleted so it will take years and years to get everything back sadly.

Sería genial que pudieran recrear la fabricación de este escudo, usando las técnicas tradicionales de esa época.
Saludos.

If I had it all to do over again, I'd take the courses necessary to do the sort of historical restorations shown here. Having been a dedicated Anglophile all my life, from mid-teens to the present, I believe preserving these priceless links to England's historical past would be a very satisfying vocation. I've nothing but the deepest respect for these protectors of England's illustrious Past. All the more important now that the UK's Present and Future are SO far from being illustrious...

Each of these fine videos brings me back to one of life’s most vibrant places. It is indeed vibrant because of the preservers who daily solve complex puzzles without manuals. Thomas Becket would undoubtedly be quite proud. Chaucer would be as well. The stained glass is also a treasure because of the people that lovingly keep it that way. The mysterious black knight would feel most honored by all this attention. Generations not yet born will be blessed by this excellent craftsmanship.

It's nice to know that these relics and the history and techniques that gave us them are at least not totally forgotten.

Would have liked to see more of the shield and less of the restorers.

Great job Ladies. You are doing a very important job for future generations! Thank you - as always, (the videos are too short :)
Was this shield a ceremony item because it looks not very protective and stabil for fighting. I know Edward was almost killed in both battles, Crecy and Poitiers, and I can not believe this shield being his only protection.
What is your website please?
