I spent 5 hours on the Path of Pain and I died at the end to the enemys, it was horrible. I think I literally cried, I was so freaking mad, But the next day I beat it in a hour.

I was going for Steel Heart and died on 90% to Nosk. That was the worst feeling

One time, I beat the game for my first time, and i backed out to go and do something. When i came back it said 'Save Corrupted', and I was devastated.

Steel soul, I had 4 masks in fog canyon, I made the fatal error of hitting one of these explosive jellyfishes, it hit me and another jellyfish who ALSO hit me.
I had four masks and died in three seconds by ffin JELLYFISHES
Fortunately I was only on my way to mantis claw so I didn't lose that much progress, only 45 minutes or so.

Also I think that the worst feeling about dying in steel soul would be trying to get the steel heart achievement, getting to 100%, try to kill the final boss and dying during the fight

yeah, i killed the nailsmith. he said he wanted to feel his epic nail cut him down, and since he did me a solid, i obliged

My worst feeling was having to watch 13,000 geo go to waste after I was inches away from getting unbreakable strength

Personally I think dying in Steel Soul is worse than dying against Absolute Radiance ^^'

For anybody feeling bad about quitting to save your steel soul run, I just had an idea. you could handle it like this. You technically failed, and what better punishment (besides truly starting over) than to make you just sit on it for a full day.
TL;DR if you do quit out, you're not allowed to play for the rest of the day.
It might just make you bolder and quit less, idk.

I died in my steel soul run to an croissant in acient bacin after I killed lost kin and had only two masks left

mine is when i farm geo like 2 hours and then THE SAME ENEMY KILLS ME TWICE

my worst feeling in this game is getting stuck on easy bosses every tutorial you watch doesnt help and you fell like your being clowned so you skip it but then another boss comes that you cant skip

I managed to 100% steel soul just for that little achievment on steam. That was my 2nd attempt. First time I was around 90 I guess and I died to traitor lord. TRAITOR LORD. I MANAGED TO DO PANTHEON 5 EARLIER AND THIS IS SUCH AN EASY BOSS. I was so mad I left this game for a day and then tried again. This is the worst feeling. Not P5. P5 lasts around 30 minutes. 100% game does NOT last 30 minutes

Myla left me heartbroken. Sometimes through my first run I'd come back and check on her while I was getting lost and was happy to see she was good. And then I went to visit her that last time...

As for Steel Soul, I got to the Brooding Mawlek and stopped to take a moment to hope back to my Godhome save and practice. I beat it multiple times on Radiant and even went back to the normal to practice with it on its platform. Feeling confident I went back to the Steel Soul save and went to my fight. I got hit once, panic set in, and I ended up losing my cool and dying.

I'm more of a reactor not a player so my worst feeling is seeing someone not find somthing fun like most or saving zote from the web

U know I did something really messed up in hollow knight instead of striking down the Nail smith with the true nail I just shot him with a vengeful spirit

i also almost fell victim to the enemies in PoP

Worst for me is the entire way to greenpath and how I keep losing to gruz mother and kept dying to the big guy before you even got to the false knight

Gotta mention dying before getting your shade back and losing all geo. A rookie mistake for sure, but it happens and it's awful, especially if you're at a point in the game where you need the geo. You just feel like such an idiot

The best feeling in the game is beating radiant Markoth, the worst feeling in the game is failing to beat radiant Markoth for nine hours straight.

I deid 3 times once to a duking vengfly in kings pass for ducks sake because i was tring to do a skip it was just stupid i also deid to mantislords as i beat them and i deid to broding malweak and now i just use save and god damn quit

I made a few attempts at steelsoul, and, yeah, some felt quite bad.
I wasn't using save/quit at the time. So I did my first, where I died to bloody Crystal Guardian (don't laugh) - about 4 hours in.
Then, i tried harder and got dream nail, and it was going pretty nicely. Until I decided to go to Crystalised Mound... And although I was cautious, I died from the multiple damage (enemy attack that sends you into the spikes). This run was about 6 hours long.
So there I was sooo pissed that I started using save/quit. I used it a few times in the run, like 4 or 5 I believe, whenever I had 2 or less masks left.

I'm getting to the real awful moment. So in my new run, with save/quit, I have fun and all, I get to the point where I say to myself : "Okay now I won't be defeated anymore. Almost all the nail upgrades, all masks, all soul vessels, and the save/quit. Things are good."
I go to Traitor Lord.
And I do poorly. So that I'm only with 3 masks left. And instead of pressing "pause" to quit the game, I press the button for the inventory. So, two things to know. Inventory doesn't pause the game. And, pressing pause while in inventory DOESN'T pause the game. I panicked, and during those eternal and agonizing 6 or so seconds where I tried to close the inventory to pause, Traitor Lord destroyed me. This run was 12 hours long.

I tried steel Soul a few Times. On my first run I died to a belfly in ancient basin, while I was trying to get a Pale ore.

I killed the nailsmith with flukenest charm💀

I lost my SS run to that sign in the mantis village and while I was reading it a flying mantis killed me

I died at soul masters finale case and then he glitched out and insta killed me

I beat the steel soul first try

The first time I ever dream nailed an enemy was Myla. I saw the dream nail text appear, therefore thought I needed to press A to dismiss it. Wrong. Shade Soul. I didn't understand what was going on, so I did it again. RIP Myla I'm so sorry

I died on my steel soul run to, after getting dive, I went back to city station and died because I went into the wrong room on 1 HP, I died to one of the jumpy guys

My first Steel Soul mode was lost to Hornet 2 of all things... i didn't have to, but I did.... messed around and found out

My worst feeling is when I have like 6000 geo and I die in a hard place, when I try to get my geo back and die from the shade

The worst feeling for me is saving up a bunch of geo for something, dying, and then deciding not to go to the spirit returning guy, dying again, and losing all of it. I'm bad at the game and don't learn from my mistakes and probably lost a combined 20k due to that.
