the way others reacts to your differences especially in early ages is mostly forms from your doubts and blives about yourself. for example meny yong iranian came to japan and decided to become part of japanese society then the natives accepted them even many find love and peace ike your old man. what happened ? their appearance was way too different . if u deeply bleave u r martian then u can even live with little green guys. abut iuran i can say . iranian nation mostly divide to 3 main branch "Persians" or "Pars" , "mad" or "kurdish" and "part" or "balluch" and all of them is ariana because of that we r all Iranians . islamic fundamentalism is not in favour of iranian people . girls hade hijab and normal people do not goes 2 mosque many if young guys never pray in mosque in their life

She is a smart and beautiful lady! She is right about using word Persia instead of “Iran” – Iran is a 100-year-old country made by British, but Persia is a 5000-year-old empire which included Bactria current Afghanistan, and Central Asia and Indus valley. Those nations still practice and have historic ties to the Persian identity! Afghanistan is also called the graveyard of empires! A Persian tribe settled in Afghan geography! So, my advise to her uncle is: “use Persian” – for the lady “be proud Japanese because Japanese are the toughest and most cultures people like Persians!

Being a mix race is always difficult for a child to grow up and always wishing that they look like the others that surrounds them. Not know the mix race child is always most of the time comes out more beautiful or handsome when they mature.

The difference between persian and iranian is not that complicated! Persian is an ethnicity, but Iranians are the people of the lands of Iran, which contains lots of ethnicities (Kurds, Persians, Arabs, Turkic and so many more)

If you want to dig deeper, "Iranian" can also have an ethnic meaning as "the peoples who speak iranian languages" : persian, pashto, kurdish, balochi, tajik...

But in daily life, if someone says "I'm iranian", it means they have origins in Iran, with no ethnic implication. That might be why her uncle would correct her.

Also the word "persia" has orientalist undertones

When we speak English, we must use English words. The language used in Iran is called "Persian" and not "Farsi/Parsi", just like the language used in Germany is called "German" and not "Deutsch". The language used in Malaysia is called "Malay" and not "Bahasa Malayu". The language used in Japan is called Japanese and not "Nihongo". Throwing a foreign word in the middle of an English sentence is not just wrong, it's confusing as well.

First of all, Parisa, you're very gorgeous like the most Iranian's girls. But you wouldn't have to experience so much confusion self-hate, comparison, inner conflicts and etc , if you're parents would tell you everyday thst how much you're beautiful as you are and you don't need to change yourself to be loved by otherse,since they love you, adore you as you're.

Lastly, "Persian" means "Parsian" who were Arians and "Iran" means the land of Aryans.

The man reason that Japanese people didn't accept you, is because you're an "Alpha" ; an intelligent leader who wants to be who she meant to be.

This woman is so honest and heartfelt. I am also mixed (Chinese immigrant dad and Scandinavian descended mother from a small farm in MN), but I grew up near a military base in Washington State and there were a few of us that were mixed. We were not normal, but there were enough of us that I wasn't the only one. We also had deaf kids in our grade school. Sadly, they were thought of as being even more different than us.

Very interesting! I've grown an interest in the history of foreigners in Japan. Especially of a recent discovery of an ancient paper that wrote of a Perisan night worker in Nara Japan. That was even before the Samurai!
