The battery is surprisingly good! The 13 Mini feels so fresh after using an s22 ultra and s23 ultra for a year. Although its just my secondary / backup phone, I tend to pick it up over my ultra lol

I'm not the kind of person that takes lots of pictures and videos. I do take some occasionally, but I don't NEED the pro camera system. I also love the small form factor. I'm currently on Android and ngl the things I'd miss here would be the telephoto lens (I only use it to read signs that are far away when I'm not wearing glasses), usb-c (hoping for a 14 mini with the type-c connector) and sideloading.
Other than that, I'd love to own this device, and I truly hope compact phones become the new cool thing.

The mini is the reason I will never buy apple again my 13 mini is a huge disappointment camera is pretty bad actually grainy and flares not enough screen too much added garbage Face ID sucks apple is just a bad company they think these phones are perfect but really is overpriced scrap

its the iphone 13, this is what a phone size should be. the "iphone 13" would have been the iphone 13 plus back in the day, so this is the iphone 13 max for all intents and purposes.

such a shame they flipped the naming scheme and shafted the iphone 13 by calling it the "mini" just to kill it off. It better come back as the new iphone se in 2 years.

I bought 13 mini . Brilliant small phone. Other phones are HEADING FOR THE BRICK SIZE 1980,s crap. VERY ANNOYED apple does not include WALL CHARGER 🔌. Wtf. I have to spend EXTRA MONEY AT THE PHONE shop. 😡

What’s the big fuss over one handed typing? Just because it’s doable doesn’t mean it’s practical. One handed typing is slower therefore not the de facto choice

I picked up a blue 13 mini (128GB) in October and I still haven’t been able to kill it in a day. I adore this thing’s size, display, cameras, and experience overall.

I bought my 13 mini 10 days ago. Absolutely love the small form factor. I have my old 11 here laying around, and it's huge and heavy in comparison. However, the 13 mini's battery is indeed something to take into consideration. If I manage my battery well, I can make it 12 hours without charging. Maybe a bit longer with tricks such as dark mode, low power, etc. 

But once I start doing some 'pro' stuff, such as video shooting, taking pictures and the occasional 5G, the battery drains to a point where I need to charge the mini at some time during the day. Not a big problem in practice, as I hook my iPhone up to my car regularly with CarPlay and I have the magsafe battery pack as a back-up. However, when travelling and being all touristy (taking pictures, navigating, etc), you will have to be careful and make sure you charge whenever you can or bring a battery pack.

In the end, the small form factor is worth it.

I just bought the 13 Mini in Product Red and I love this phone. Usually I have big phones and I was going to buy the 13 Pro Max in Sierra Blue, but My Wife had the 12 Mini and I thought it was a really good size. When I saw the upgrades, I decided on the 13 Mini. I actually think it's the perfect phone and with the clear magsafe case, it really enhances that beautiful Red. I spent a lot of time thinking about this and am really happy with my decision.

How about macro? Does it take macro shots of like flower’s details?

I love iPhone 13mini

I went from a IPhone 10 to iPhone 12 mini, I liked the size of the iPhone 10 but still found it big and heavy considering it was smaller than the iPhone 11 and Pro Max models.
So when I switched to the iPhone 12 mini it was a throw back to iPhone 4 era. it’s what i consider a proper mobile phone size. I think the iPhone 3 was even better but perhaps the iPhone 4 size is better for viewing videos and content.

The hilarious thing is my smaller old iPhone 6s has macro mode and my 13 mini doesn’t. It also takes better colour photos in artificial light, it seems to have a superior auto white balance.

If I had a choice of getting iphone 13 (128 gb) or iPhone 13 mini (256 gb), which should I get ?

Wow, that cinematic mode is... awful. Every shot of you (not just the first) looks like a poor green screen shot where the compositors have lazily blurred your edges and the background. Doesn't look natural at all, and the frequent lag in the artificial blurring is so noticeable. If this is representative of the mode then gotta disagree with you about it being great!

one big point to highlight: the iPhone 13 mini will lose much more value than the iPhone 13 Pro.

The Pro will mantain so much value in a year from now that you'll be able to buy a new iPhone 14 non pro for free, by trading in essentially. While the mini, yes, it's going to lose a lot of value and you'll be stick with it.

To me this is the real difference, because, on portability, it feels like my old iPhone 7. The mini is smaller than the 7. I want something like the 7 and the Pro is much more closer to that fit and size. The Mini I feel like it can drop off my hands as it is too small and I am used to the 7.

When I grabbed the Pro, it feels more right even to me that I don't have particular huge hands.

my massive xperia 1 ii was a lot more immersive when using twitter/FB/etc, but the mini 13 feels like half the size in your hand, with almost all the screen size you could need.
Love the tiny form factor, but it also discourages me from always being on my phone, which I suppose is a good thing.
