BREATH OF THE WILD VS GENSHIN IMPACT

Now imagine if when they announced Smash 6, they also announced that one of the fighters will be a character from Genshin Impact. My guess: Either Zhongli, Hu Tao, or Raiden Shogun.

That way, we can have one of its characters meet one of their inspirations (they should team up with Link if they will have another Adventure Mode).

You know whats more good on zelda botw is i can play it offline without thinking of cashgrab or using any gatcha systems . genshin on the other hand uses gatcha yes you can f2p but your connected on internet once you disconnect you cant play offline and also on android thrid party controller needs to manually bind unlike on apple ios .

All GENSHIN players need to be on the FBI watch list! I do not want to see the homework folder of Genshin players.

I wanna say that genshin did take a lot a lot of inspiration from zelda but it starts making on its own since Inazuma released. Genshin impact is an inferior clone to breath of the wild. I actually haven't played genshin impact but the fact that I know more flaws about genshin impact then botw is saying somthing sigificant because of this fact that I haven't even played genshin impact. Then again genhsin impact might have more good stuff then I know but from what I know it is greatly inferior. It's exploration is the same but worse and has less variety. For example: botw has horsey riding and shield surfing and somtimes using a boat! Botw's cooking I think is better because I assume the cooing mini game is pretty boring considering the fact that it is apparently so unchallenging you basically always win it. And genshin impact is pay to win and lacks weapon durability. Weapon durability is actually a good thing since it makes things variey more and you are careful with your weapons durability making it more engaging I assume. Also i'm not exactly sure why botw is able to provide that very unique satisfied and insanely accomplished feeling but I assume genshin impact doesn't provide this. Also botw has flurry rushs while genshin impact doesn't. Also claims that genshin impact isn't a ripoff are absurd from my experience. It isn't that genhsin imapct has swords and botw does, it that you can either do a charged attack or a regular attack and can also hold a shield up during weilding a one handed sword witch you can't do with the other weapons. It isn't that genshin impact has two handed swords it's that you can swing them and use stamina while you do so or do slow attacks. You probaly see what i'm trying to explain at this point. Many of the concepts genshin impact does that are also in botw are not just the same but mechnaically basicaly done in the exact same way. This is like this for the running, gliding, swiming, spear like weapons, two handed weapons that you can swing, one handed weapons, explosives at enime camps, the stealth system, and from what I know many, many, many of the enimes. Genshin impact from what I know is greatly imferior to the masterpiece that it is a ripoff off.

The games are nothing alike ,BOTW fanboys automatically assumed genshin was a copy because anything that has stamina and glider is a direct copy lol,anyways genshin just has the better graphics and combat gameplay while BOTW is mainly focused on puzzles ,overall there's a huge difference ,in the end genshin is by far more polished than botw

I strongly suggest playing Genshin Impact in either JP/KR/CN voice language because the EN ones are mostly untrained and uneducated "voice actors". It's extremely cringy at times.

love this video! you definitely explained genshin well, how you dont have to spend a dime to complete everything etc. many people usually think the game forces you to pay or things are locked behind a paywall when its not true. and i agree the music a masterpiece.

Tysm for not having a one sided perspective, a lot of ppl say Genshin is shit cause it’s a copy and sure the trailers and music is very similar and definitely inspired but ppl shouldn’t say the whole games bad just cause of that
Sure it has similar gliding, climbing, crafting aspects but it’s an open world SO MANY MORE GAMES have the exact same features
Let’s not forget the reason ppl actually enjoy playing besides these points; getting/building the characters, the events, the constant updates/expansion of regions and the lore, if an exact copy of these things were in BOTW it’s understandable to hate Genshin but they’re not thus they’re very different games in the aspects that actually count not just cause they ‘both have gliders’

As a lifelong lover of Legend of Zelda, Genshin Impact has become my favorite thing to play. It absolutely will not stop me from buying Zelda games, but it has become such an important part of my life I'm so glad it did not fail because of its initial similarity to BoTW

I'll be honest here. I was expecting something like Zelda but with better combat so I started watching how Genshin was like.
Turns out that the thing I wanted was a Monster Hunter game with an open world like Zelda instead.

1 year later, I'd love to see you make a part 2 to this video. Genshin Impact has branched out even further from BoTW and it's changed a LOT

I was actually pretty excited when Genshin came out. Wasn't a huge fan of the character designs tho because They seem so typical hot anime character like but still. I was very exited because it looked so muxh like my favorite game but when it came out I didn't enjoy it at all. I have 100 hours and dropped it completely. I don't like the story and some dialogs are too long for me personally. I get bored from too long cutscences and dialog. I always love games that show you the story rather then tell. Maybe that's why I like botw way better. And I loved the feeling of "can I do that?" and the anwere to that was almost never "no". I just enjoy good and simple single player adventure games. I think if I went into Genshin with another expectation I would have enjoyed it. But that's not the problem of the game itself it's because of the marketing.

And another thing I prefer in botw is that it has a really good combat and menu design. I think no one made the same experience while playing botw. I for example loved killing in creative ways. I almost never used my strongest weapons because I wanted to collect them just because I was proud of obtaining them. So I always fought with weaker weapons but a more intelligent approach. I think the simplicity of it was what I liked the best. Also for the menu and leveling up things. I don't like complex xp game. There is too much going on in Genshin. I just want to play the game and not always leveling up my weapons and character. At some point I got so frustrated that I just dropped it. I tried likig the game even in koop but I couldn't.

It's not a bad game. It's good for its own audience. For me I like my games simple but yet challenging. When I play a game I almost never intressed in the story. Also with botw I wasn't intressed in what happend 100 years ago but because the game didn't force you to play the story I got intressted at my own Tempo and now I got a whole note book with theorys and read through all item descriptions to maybe find something interesting.

I love your video and it let me see Genshin with diffrent eyes. I respect it and can admit it's a good game just not my taste. And I know some people think the exact same just role reversed. So it really do come down to person taste :)

This video seems less like a comparison and more like basically 30 minutes of making Breath Of The Wild seem horrible, I know that you do mostly BoTW videos, but this feels like you reviewed every topic between both games, promoted Genshin and said it was so much better, and then tossed BoTW off of a cliff into death mountain.

I don't understand the Amber hate, she got me out of alot of battle where I could just use bow and arrow to fend off hostiles.

I really hope they don’t add in skill trees or levelling to BotW.
BotW’s combat system has a lot more physics and creativity implemented into the game than GI. It’s this quality that makes the game feel more like a fun, challenging playground, rather than something stale and grindy like most other rpgs.

Just wanna point out that you can use materials to upgrade your armour in BotW. Different armour sets can give you specific, often convenient, boosts if you wear the entire set.
Sometimes weapons have modifiers that make them stronger, more durable, etc.
You can also make certain dishes that will increase your attack, defence, stamina, etc.

It's free until you realize your phone is now out of storage space

i would also point to another difference that's huge :
in the combat system, the displayed effect are totally different
when zelda just shows hit and swing effects, genshin displays the damages inflicted (which in my opinion just blocks the view for no reason but that's not my point)
however, when you say "work as a team" I would line to disagree as I would much more compare the switching character part to the switching weapons part in breath of the wild
but where botw put the emphasis on the lack of means, genshin puts it on the elementary combo, which changes radically the way to fight.
the presence of heavily restricting durability in botw adds to this, and, even though a blind person could see that a lot of genshin is just straight copy-pasted from botw, the devs were intelligent enough not to create a rip-off but a full game by changing the way the player would play and that's the most important :)
