is not a joke i tink im goin to the hospital i feel like im druged out vomiting i feel horrible as i took this medicine

so thankful for the individuals who filed the petition for broader labeling. I decided not to take this drug for my chronic sinusitis after reading about tendon rupture on the bottle, then doing additional research.

I took Cipro & a month after finishing it my teeth began to fall out, not just fall out but powderize and crumble, some teeth withered away down to the gum line or the enamel wore off exposing the soft part of the tooth-all in the matter of a month suddenly.....I was checked out & had no cavities, the teeth just disappeared. I had to have all my teeth pulled at the age of 25. I had normal teeth before taking this med back in the 90s, always brushed, went to the dentist, flossed etc. back then I was told that there was nothing I could do even though at the time there was no warning about tooth loss related to the med.

Pressure in my skull pain all over my body off balance confused nauseated......feel like moment to moment my sanity is being slipping panicky....I haven't got the WORDS for the was in feeling in my mind......in terrified. All my muscles are tense I can barely bare weight on my feet in clumsy I have to move slowly. Cautiously every thing I do has to be very deliberate and carefully and I took the last cipro over 2 weeks ago.....

.how long will this go on? And how much worse can it get......in depressed crying I know my hormones are messed up I've been on my period for 3 weeks........there is a black box wArning on this poison cipro.....2bad I didn't know until I was damaged....also the first day I woke up sick from this I had a HIGH FEVER AND CHILLS EVERY 4 MINUTES covering my body that the only thing that stopped after day 1......what did I do.....what has hapend ......this can't be real?...... But it is.......we always think THIS STUFF HAPPENS. 2 OTHER PEOPLE...

It's dangerous if you're on a junk food diet and taking other drugs. I guess that's a lot of people. The drug helps thousands of people and most people tolerate it perfectly well.

I was diagnosed with systemic nerve damage and was told I was like an over-dosed chemotherapy patient and that a bit more would have confined me to a wheel chair. These drugs are a horror story. There are many other antibiotic options to take. Be wise and internet research anything ever prescribed to you, do not trust the doctor or pharmacist to warn you. There are so many more side effects to these drugs than are mentioned and here is a list of what happened to me: Systemic nerve damage, legs jerking at night, painful, sharp needle pains all over body and face, cracking of multiple joints, inability to walk more than a few yards, inability to hold a cup of water with one hand, extreme pain in ankles, feet and wrists, 3 day migraines due to chemical sensitivities, loss of bowel contractions, tears in cornea due to bone dry eyes, hormone and thyroid issues, extremely bad skin sagging, utter despair and the deepest depression I could have never imagined. I am 4.5 years out and still having issue and on my 13th relapse. This is a lonely journey with little help, thank God for the support groups. This has truly altered my life, career and my bank account.

I am on the 4th day of a 5 day treatment with Cipro (500mg) and Flagyl, following the removal of my perforated appendix. The surgery went well, and the only 'souvenir' I have is a drainage tube sticking out of my abdomen, which I am going to have removed in a few days. I've heard about some of the terrible side effects of Cipro, and initially asked my surgeon about it. Her response was that she has to put me on a Cipro / Flagyl combination, because this is the best follow up drug combination following my specific type of surgery. So far so good. Just diahrrea. I hope I will be OK.

Doctor prescribed me this drug for infectious diarrhoea. And my kidneys failed on 5th day. Thank you for murdering me doc.

WHAT IN THE H#@L ARE THEY DOING PRESCRIBING IT. I'M PLUM WORN OUT WITH THE DOCTORING BUSINESS OF THESE TIMES. THUGS GETTING PAID IS WHAT THEY HAVE BECOME.

I don't get this. Wtf?? I was prescribed this for an ear infection and after I read the 6 pages of side effects, I decided NOT to take them. I called the doctor and asked them to prescribe something else like Amoxicillan and they did.

Stay positive everyone. Even contemplated suicide. Now 100% fully recovered. Wish everyone a speedy recovery. Stay positive!
