Jon & Kenny are the Apollo and Zeus of Reaper.
ОтветитьGreat tricks in here
ОтветитьTanks!!!
ОтветитьIs there a way to precisely move up the automation adjustment
ОтветитьThank you. The information about the Global Override is very useful.
ОтветитьIs there any way to have more automations than one per track?
ОтветитьVery helpful video !
Ответитьhi, is it possible to activate the FX effect: Show / hide track envelope for last touched FX parameter by double clicking with the mouse? if sinquale is the procedure? thank you.
ОтветитьI did exactly what you showed on the 5th tip before watching your video. It's extremely helpful.
ОтветитьThank you so much!
ОтветитьThat last one is a dream come true. Thanks!
ОтветитьI would really like to know why I can copy automation envelope points but I can't paste them.
ОтветитьNow post something on WHY we should automation. Better still, post something telling us what maturation is.
ОтветитьJust the first tip alone is gold
ОтветитьThanx Jon! Great tuts! I am a longtime Logic Pro (and Ableton) user but a newbie in Reaper. First of all, I think your UI (colors, knobs on top) and the whole theme is awesome and I have to ask you how I can get the same. You Jon or you guys do you think Reaper is also good/ enough for creating and composing/ producing? and not just recording/mixing? Thanx a lot.
ОтветитьAwesome. How do I automate an effect to come off and on at certain parts of a song. For example, say, adding a delay to a vocal at the end of a verse.
ОтветитьMore, Please! :-)
ОтветитьThe only thing I miss in Reaper is the automation management style like in Ableton. It is so simple and good for the workflow.
ОтветитьHello my question is not about the video but I have a "problem" who is annoying. The problem is: wen I add a new track the automation-envelope parameter are automatically displaying and it take place and make the session incomprehensible. I do not use so mutch the automation so have then display on my screen all long off the project is verry painfull. Hide all the envelope panel track per track is just too long and I want deactivate this option.
That makes a moment tan I search what parameter is the source of the problem but I can't found'it.
Thanks for help
That intro music, though
ОтветитьWhen I hide my envelopes, they get "unarmed" so the faders wont move in Read mode, altough I can hear the automation working. Why is that? 5.95 version here
Ответитьvery helpful thanks !
ОтветитьWhen I insert a time envelope I can not create in the position I want for the shift + click shortcuts, because the reaper creates the point a little further, but to create in the exact point I have to go in the mouse option ... what should I make it happen
ОтветитьHi Jon! I like to write automation in trim/read mode, but I like to change do Read to see faders moving, but everytime I do that, my faders go to 0dB. Reaper reads the envelope with the fader and I dont want that. I use that "Never" option in Automation preferences. For instance: My fader is at -6 and I activate the envelope, ok, the envelope starts at 0dB, then If I switch to Read, the fader goes to 0dB, still, the volume will be the same but I dont want the fader going to unity position. Do you know how can I fix that?
ОтветитьLooks good but for beginners it's all a bit scarey!!!!
ОтветитьThis is awesome! Do you know if when working with Midi items, if there is a way to view/copy/move the automation information from the track on to the midi item in the automation lanes?
If I'm writing some strings with the modwheel, I see that information in the midi editor (the green bars). But if I write new automation with a different parameter, it shows up as an active envelope on the track. I want to view/edit it in the same window with the modwheel information.
Jon, no matter how much I use REAPER you always bring something new I can learn from. Thanks!
ОтветитьGood tips.
Regarding #6: Show/Hide Last Touched FX Parameter
I used to use this, but then I discovered that if I put the track into Read mode, it would automatically add an envelope lane for any and every FX parameter I touch in the plugin interface. MUCH faster if you want to create envelopes for several FX (or synth) parameters all in one go.
thank you
ОтветитьFor every little trick I know, Reaper has a dozen I don't know.
ОтветитьPretty useful tips, thanks Jon! : )
ОтветитьHi! Thank you for your blog. I have a question. What if I want the modulation of a parameter not to run all the time? Can I record the movement of an LFO at a specific point and not have it moving all the time?
Thanks again!
