Great video packed with useful and practical Power Query data cleansing techniques. Thanks for posting.

Please note that in Section 9: Text to Columns, a custom delimiter of ", " (comma + space) should be used so that the resulting columns are free of leading and trailing spaces.

Also, in Section 10: Remove Extra Spaces, to invoke the custom function SpaceTrim(), instead of clicking the Custom Column button, select the column to be transformed and then click the Invoke Custom Function button. The PQ editor will prompt you to select a custom function and to supply any required or optional parameters, all without having to write any M-Code.

Hello, this was a great quick tip, it met me half way to what I was trying to accomplish however. After my Power Query using tip "Remove Extra Spaces," the extra spaces were removed but the new column created didnt format the clean data any sorta way that my INDEX MATCH formula would read. I still needed to go down the column and hit enter to each cell. Can you help with this next step? How do I eliminate having to touch the clean data cells to "wake them up" so to speak?

Hi, thanks so much for sharing. I have a question regarding the "Text to column" function. What should we do when the text is not same order, for example, some columns start with the country names, while the other start with people´s names? How can we split and re-group corrodingly?
