Hello Lauren, thankyou for your video it's so good. I've learnt more in 2 days than 2 months. ❤
ОтветитьIf you are left handed, can you learn playing also do you have to reverse the string positions on the guitar? Pls answer. Thanx.
ОтветитьHow important are learning all the scales, fretboard, etc before doing chords?
ОтветитьHad a bit of difficulty after wrist and elbow surgery (gonna be fretting with scar tissue at a certain point!), but I have a meeting this weekend to have a luthier do set ups on my parlor guitar and my electric guitar (gonna wait and do bass later-- was so bored, and I wanna start on the one that will give me the best foundation of knowledge, AND I just want to have fun!) I said when I was ready, I'd be looking into Lauren because she just seems amazing, explains things well, is patient, and just seems to understand us older students better.
ОтветитьThanks

ОтветитьWaiting impatiently for my gutar to be delivered this arvo. Cant wait. Excited 64 yr young.
ОтветитьHi Lauren! It's Ruth whose guitar instructor is Brian May. I fractured my upper left arm a month ago so I'm unable to play my guitar now. Hopefully my arm heals fast. It's hard for me to see my guitar sitting there. Brian May did something awesome for me. He knew I took piano when I was a little girl and I regret to this day quiting. Brian texted me 3 days ago and said there is a free Keyboard for me at Studio Arts. I was so touched. I can still play music right hand only but I'm having fun.
ОтветитьI thank you some of the teaching skills you are teaching for me as a beginner a old one at. that. Thank you.
ОтветитьMy fingers hurt when pressing the strings and I feel like I can't get my fingers correctly positioned 😢
ОтветитьI put "1st lesson on acoustic guitar" in the search bar and the first video up has a woman wearing a Captain America shirt. I'm in lol
ОтветитьTHE only teacher I watch - FANTASTIC!
ОтветитьThere are lots of people out there teaching guitar. Lauren is by far the best. She takes a great deal of time to show and explain.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this lesson! I have one quick question though. When I am holding down the stings on the fretting board, It does not make a clear sound like yours in the video. Is there something wrong with my guitar?
ОтветитьQuick question: If chords are named based on the first note played, why is the 2-finger "C" chord a "C" and not an "E" ? Just wondering. Great lesson. Thanks!
Ответитьhi Lauren you are the guitar teacher i ever know
ОтветитьBrilliant teacher i am a complete beginner 64 with several health pronblems but thi❤s approach has given me hope that i can learn to play....
ОтветитьSubbed
ОтветитьYou are amazing, God bless you, thank you for your patience, thank you for teaching us, thank you for the bottom of my heart ❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьHi Lauren, just watched your finger exercise, you could call it the spider pentatonic 😉 from your first lesson must see.
ОтветитьFantastic! Just starting to learn and enjoying these videos
ОтветитьLoved this!!!
ОтветитьYou have a lot of patience. Appreciate it
ОтветитьI didn’t see where to get the PDF
ОтветитьHey! I like your teaching style...do you teach electric guitar or mostly acoustic?
ОтветитьWish I had the money I am impressed with her style
ОтветитьFantastic teacher with excellent capabilities 👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьYou are an incredibly amazing teacher. With an excellent approach and pedagogy.
ОтветитьBrilliant teacher, wish I had the Internet many years ago - this one video alone is so helpful 🎸
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьHi Laura, congratulations for your award in Business and thank you for this free guittar lessons. I am not sure where to strike. Is it on the string where my other finger presses down or its all the 6 strings?
ОтветитьThis is great. I am a beginner and I think I can learn a lot from you. Question, why is the diagram showing the six string opposite from the guitar? I am placing all you lessons on my computer so I don’t miss a lesson. Thank you so much. Robert from Texas
ОтветитьI am so thankful to have found your page. I’m 53 and have always wanted to learn how to play the guitar. Fear of not being very good and be laughed at held me back. Hopefully starting April 2024 the current chapter in my life will close with me being a warrior after a cancer diagnosis, surgery and months of chemo and radiation. I got my guitar a few weeks ago for my birthday and it came with a couple of group lessons. These lessons made my greatest fears that prevented me from trying seem mild. I’ve been following along albeit slowly with you and while I’m not breaking records I can play C and Em, it’s a process, and your kind delivery is so encouraging as you meet people like me where they are. I don’t want to play for anyone and my goals are really just to not regret never trying and I would like to just enjoy the journey. Thank you for your what you do. After my second paid for lesson I felt so defeated and was ready to sell the guitar. I still own it and more importantly I am utilising what you are sharing every day. Again thank you.
ОтветитьLauren, I have a comment about the timing you were talking about. Instead of doing four strums, what I found helpful in the beginning was strumming once and using the rest of the count to build the next chord. I have a metronome app on my phone so I can speed up slowly. Just a thought.
ОтветитьFinger exercises why can't I get a sound from the string? Hopefully it's not a stupid question lol
ОтветитьI just started the 7 step course and i must say it,s worth the price.Laura has to be the most laid back on line teacher going. With that kind of demeanor it makes learning fun.I don't feel rushed and can enjoy what i am practicing with her pdf. In fact i plan on getting her fingerpicking course as well.
ОтветитьAnother thing please can you share again on how to tune acoustic guitar please ,simplest method, because when I tune and try to play the cord I will show but then the last sound will change into a different cord
ОтветитьStarted my lessons but why my thumb can reach up when I try to place well other figures on the cords??
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьI love your teaching but it confuses me that the strings seem to be opposite from the way you are playing them… you are showing on the top string and go down but the illustration shows the opposite… just confusing to me
ОтветитьI need you HERE . .
ОтветитьLol yo soo good 👍
ОтветитьShould I have watched this two years ago when I picked up the guitar. Also you should teach us how to harmonically tune...I already know but not many do
ОтветитьHi Lauren, many thanks for your tuition, you have good clear diction and you make the subject easier to understand. This is really great for old timers like me at 73. I applaud you, thanks once again.
