Wow this video really blew up!

Just wanted to say I’ve been getting a lot of comments about why I didn’t do this exploit or that exploit, and the reason why is because newcomers and those looking for a refresher do not care about exploits and just want to play the game normally. I am also someone that dislikes exploits and intentionally did not put any in the video.

Just wanted to say this because I’ve been getting comments for the past 5 months about it which bothered me because I felt many people missed the point of the video.

Ive played this game since it came out and currently have 10,340 hours on it. Love it and truly an experience

You're forgetting the part where you beat up Ralof to train one handed, two handed, stealth, destruction, and even block if you're dedicated enough

I always grab any blue flowers and blue butterflies i come across. They make a decent potion to sell and they are freaking everywhere. Good for cash and skill. I always hated how gold is so easy to make, especially the plantation.l since it breaks the game and practically impossible to ignore it.

When you get your first lock picks, unlock all of the cells in the torture room and the hallway that follows. Sometimes you can level up you lock picking just once before you pick up your first bow. The torturer's hood (which you can only get if you run w Ralof, since with Hadvar he heals too quickly) is also bugged so that it levels up with you. It is a light piece of armor that is always 1 armor rating above the best current piece available to your level. Aside from the first bandit camp mentioned in the video, when the road out of Helgen's cave bends to the right, go left over the hill and find another bandit camp set up under a cliff edge by the bees nest. Three archer bandits will show up after you loot their chest but they also have some good meat and alchemy ingredients too. Very useful if playing survival but can also be a challenge. After that, I usually head for the bandit camp mentioned in the video then the Shrine of Talos. Unless you are using the Unofficial Patch, the thief stone does NOT cover Bow skills. There is a bug that put Bow under the Warrior stone. So you either want to choose Mage or Warrior, unless you want to level up sneak and lock picking/ pickpocket earlier but it will put you at a disadvantage in combat as you level. That potion of lock picking after leaving Bleak Falls Barrow is usually a random low level skill potion. I have also picked up a potion of invisibility there before instead. Interesting that Kaj highwayman was wearing the torturer's hood for you. I have never seen that before.

Does race really not matter? I like to be a crusader/paladin but I'm playing an orc

I spent a couple minute trying to calculate the number of words-per-minute this dumb kid squirted out, but I gave up really quick. Kid, I know you don't have a sense for this, but can your on-the-spectrum ass understand that there are still people who've never played this before at all? Slow down Forrest, some of us just got here. Not sure who else you could made a video for given the date you did it.

I’m new to Skyrim and feel very grateful to be playing the Anniversary Edition (with all the mods) for the first time. I see a lot of mention about how mods were really memorable or enhanced the experience for OG players. My question is, when should I use mods? Or should I have my playthrough be just the vanilla game first?

i messed up and bought this from Epic, don't do that. I finally got all my mods set up and it's an entire new game. I hate this spell Todd has cast.

I just started skyrim legendary version this week and there is soo much. Bought the house for 5000 to just store the items ^^ is lydia a good follower? Fallout seems way more easy than skyrim

Its all good ...i do my own thing with no mods are cheat and just never go to western watchtower to start having dragons show up...just do all the side quest first and mostly i leave the main quest for last

The 1st tip I'd give is to get some damn texture mods. Holy cow your game looks terrible.

Every time i play i religously clear the bandit camp on the left after exiting helgen, after following the path to a shrine there is a dead Thalmor with random enchanted gear. obviously the guardian stone is next followed by either embershard mine for the early levelling and iron for transmutting to gold later. and of course you have to get Fandael for easy Archery levels.

Am I tripping out rn????? Believe me when I say I have played and restarted the game dozens of times I do not remember ever getting to choose what guard I escape with???. I am not an avid player but I do like the game I’m just confused I swear I had to follow one guard and was never given a choice

I’ve been torn between making a Redguard on ESO or continuing on with Skyrim, and it bugs the crap out of me that I can’t make up my mind. If I chose to make the Redguard, I don’t know what class to make him nor even a name (although I might pay homage to the Redguard guy in Skyrim’s Dark Brotherhood, MAYBE.). But the cool thing is, I know what I want to do on Skyrim - try to find a jewelry piece with 100% disease resistance and disenchant it to put THAT enchantment on a silver chest piece - hence I have the Anniversary Edition upgrade of Skyrim. I don’t go into Solitude until level 20 or a little later. I’ve had yet to do the Morthal quest but yesterday on ESO, I started (again) Clockwork City. Debating whether or not to get another of those test dummies from the quest that can start there in CC. The possibilities I tell ya. I just hate being easily confused with what to do.

Watching this reminds me of a friend who use to make a new character literally every other week.

i avoid returning the dragonstone to Farengar and last night, i hit level 10 and saw a random npc in Riverwood and he looked like a vampire so i ran into the inn, waited a couple of seconds, ran outside again and free travelled to Whiterun. The same npc was at Whiterun and he looked at me and started walking towards me again so i sprinted into the meadery, saved and quit for the night.

Skyrim vampires only wear dark robes don't they? the random npc looked like a Dunmer or an Orsimer in normal Skyrim npc clothing

I just started, all my character wants to do is pick pockets. How do you just talk to people. What am I supposed to do?

For those of you that are new, get good at stealth. The damage on sneak attacks gets pretty crazy.

If you play a mage, you can get a silent casting perk which will make you a sneak mage.

Stealth shenanigans are best shenanigans imo

One thing about Faendal. You can take him as your partner and learn Archery from him, then you can get your money back when asking him to carry something =) 5 archery points on each level for free. You can do it up to 50 points in Archery.

Instead of selling all the armor I collect in Helgen, I'll keep one set for Faendal.

I don't know how to feel about this guide. First of all: The best warrior class is either Orc or Breton. Orc should be self explanatory, Breton is good because they have some pretty hefty magic reduction by default. For an Assassin Orc is also a pretty good choice if you plan to dual wield daggers. Imperials would be a great choice for a Thief, as you find more gold than other races. Also, as a beginner I do NOT recommend to loot everything you come across, because this will just lead to one hell of a mess in your inventory. Looting ingredients only really matters if you're going for alchemy - which new players generally don't do. Just pick up items with decent value (50+ gold) which dont weigh too much.

As a Warrior I'd suggest going for Onehanded or Twohanded as well as Light Armor or Heavy Armor.
As a Mage you should go for Destruction and Alteration.
As an Assassin / Thief you should focus on Sneak and Onehanded / Marksman.

Obviously smithing, enchanting and alchemy can make pretty much any character overpowered, but for a first playthrough I would disregard those for the most part - maybe with the exception of smithing. You can always start to include these skills to your build, once you're more familiar with the game. And if you then start to pick up / buy the items you need, you should be good. No need to fill your inventory from the very beginning.

I thought Orc would be good for stealth bc you can activate beserker rage and then sneak attack any boss and get the enemy low

Note on Halted Stream Camp, please make sure to grab the "Transmute Mineral Ore" spell in the boss room. This spell combined with the endless iron mines in Skyrim makes leveling smithing a breeze

I started Skyrim last night (first time playing) and had no idea you could choose between the two characters in Helgen loool.

First, go to solitude and get the Wabajack and that's it. use it and win.

wait till y’all find out about the secret chests in all the holds, those are amazing ways to get loot
