When I was a little kid I had one of Roger Moore's James Bond movies on a VHS, A View To A Kill. I really liked that film and it also includes Christopher Walken, who is a fantastic actor. So when I heard that Roger Moore uses this Tissot PR-516 automatic watch in a couple of scenes in the movie Live and Let Die I had to get it!
In the end of the project everything turned out very good, the watch runs well. The watch was probably dead because there was some dirt that had seized the gear train. Probably its been dead for a long time because I couldn't find much wear on the parts.
Hope you enjoy my work, thank you for taking your time watching my movie!
what book is that at the end?
ОтветитьMovement is a felsa, right? It looks very similar to movement felsa 4000n that the squale watches mounted at the time! Anyway, congratulations for the excellent restoration work!👍👍
Ответитьthats one sick boy you got there
ОтветитьMa è l'orologio indossato da Roger Moore? Oppure uno uguale?
ОтветитьI had my Bond Tissot serviced a couple of years ago and very much doubt the watchmaker went to this level of detail, great job.
I have no bezel though - what magic did you use to get a new one?!?
The have you purchased inner besel from 1970? 🤔
ОтветитьLoved it man. Thanks
Ответить👏
ОтветитьWatcher needs to use finger gloves because dirt and oils can contaminate the metals parts. Please 😢
Ответитьthis is an amazing work
ОтветитьHow many hours did that take you and how long have you be performing your hobby? Inspiring!
ОтветитьMaestro 👍
Ответитьa really great Watch, and the restauration is beautiful .
ОтветитьBeautiful work amazing.
ОтветитьGosh, that dial was stunning when you removed that foggy crystal! Great channel ... ive been on a binge!
ОтветитьБольшой труд!
ОтветитьWow! A true craftsman. As a fat fingered auto mechanic I can really appreciate this. Do you wear magnifying glasses as well? Great stuff.
ОтветитьWasn’t he wearing a Rolex 5513 throughout the entirety of this film?!? I’m confused.
ОтветитьSuperb
ОтветитьBravooo perfect job
ОтветитьDiscover your chanel yesterday night. Super instructive and relaxing at the same time :D
ОтветитьĎakujeme za dobru robotu.
ОтветитьHow much
ОтветитьWow, the restoration process on this iconic James Bond watch is mesmerizing! The attention to detail and skillful polishing really bring out its vintage charm. Such a satisfying ASMR experience – truly well done
ОтветитьComplimenti per il super restauro. Io ne ho uno uguale ma ho perso la ghiera. Vorrei trovarla ed eventualmente restaurarlo. Puoi aiutarmi? Di dove sei? Io vivo a Padova in Italia.
Ответитьa bit of advice: keep Diamond Polishing paste off of the use-list. I'd suggest keeping nothing that can scratch a sapphire crystal. Eventually that paste will get somewhere it shouldn't and you have a potential issue. Stainless is very soft and the more common polishing bars cut it easily. With a wheel and some white and blue rouge, that case should have polished in 15 min. Beautiful work tho on an interesting piece!
ОтветитьIs this screw down crown?
ОтветитьI can hardly believe that this absolute rarity should simply be auctioned off online ! Collectors would pay a fortune for Roger Moore's 007 (and private) watch !! Perhaps this treasure even belongs to the 'James Bond Museum' in London .
ОтветитьHe wore a Rolex in live and let die
ОтветитьHoly moly, This is so "Zen".
ОтветитьNe kadar yavaş çekersen çek biz ileri alarak izliyoruz ....
ОтветитьNice video! Just to confirm, I can simply pop the bezel off? It doesn't need to be in a certain position or anything? Thanks
ОтветитьConsidering the history and provenance of the watch, should it have been completely refurbished? I understand the functional polishing of the crystal and bezel replacement. But …. the polishing takes away from the charm. The hard earned nicks and scratches are part of its charm and uniqueness.
ОтветитьWhat brand are those oiler pens?
ОтветитьWHEN YOU DROPPED THE MOVEMENT OUT THE CASE I SAID TO MYSELF, THAT A FANTASTIC DIAL...👍.
ОтветитьWhat kind of knife did you open that package with

The first watch I bought for myself was a Tissot Seastar in 1969 in Switzerland when I was just 14 yrs old; 35 yrs later I bought a ladies Tissot Ballade III automatic for my partner. These are lovely watches.
ОтветитьYou are an artist my friend ,great job !
ОтветитьTolle Arbeit, unfassbar was aus dieser Defekten Uhr geworden ist! Einfach nur Top👌🏻
Ответитьgreat video, did you replace the case back gasket off camera because i only saw the word, goodbye and the case back was being put on. i remember the beginning of the video, you showed that gasket had disintegrated.
ОтветитьThe way you slowly choreograph and basically fetishize every dumb little step in the process is really annoying and weird.
Ответитьexcellent work, really good camera work and a very nice watch, i love seeing a battered watch being made to look new again, very well done!
ОтветитьUn grand bravo pour ce travail remarquable et la mémoire de ces belles montres
ОтветитьNicely done, beautiful restoration. You made a new stem but you put back the rusty one, why?
ОтветитьBeautiful restoration 😊
