ОтветитьThis is lifechanging. Thanks very much!
Ответитьok. students with a growth mindset have better results…thaaagh….why make such a fuz about such trivialities? how can you write a book about something that has been known for 2000 years….the american professors are so good at commercialising their trivial research
ОтветитьI could listen to her all day😊
ОтветитьYou should really read the Holy Bible. Growth mindset can be a good thing. But used by someone like, let's say, satan. When he used this against Eve. Don't believe God, do what He tells you not to do. You will become like God. He put an evil seed into her heart and mind against God and the rest, unfortunately, is the history of the world.
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьThank you very much. I was searching for any strategies to support my Grade 5 students who are behind in learning age and face challenges in learning all subjects, English, and Math too. I would like to attend any training on How to teach the growth mindset of students . Could you share with me , Please
Ответитьfirst time playing a video at 2x speed lol.
ОтветитьLove her outfit 😍
ОтветитьFascinating; Prof. Dweck has assembled a vast amount of EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE to support a revolutionary theory in education/psychology, one that I (and my late mom, who was a full time professional teacher) have always endorsed; namely, that if the student has a GROWTH MINDSET vs a FIXED MINDSET, that student, independent of IQ or SES, will achieve better than peers, controlling for all other factors. Up to now, conventionally, we've explained student success as around 50% IQ and 50% SES; this research really debunks that.
Speaking for myself, who admittedly had good IQ and good SES, I nonetheless have always had a GROWTH MINDSET to learning; I've always been a lifelong learning, constantly reading, evolving and listening to others. The advent of the internet has only accelerated this trend.
While most use the internet to reinforce their prejudices and beliefs (Fixed Mindset) many use it to enlarge their view of the world, and to explore new horizons (Growth Mindset).
Congrats, Dr. Dweck--Kudoes!
Her book is just awesome 👌👏

ОтветитьOh ok. Her book will bridge wealth gap in education, cause girls to catch up in stem, excel in fortune 500 companies and make peace in middle east. The only other buzz word she couldve claimed was help with non-binary gender fluidity
ОтветитьI like her coat and love her work
Ответитьa groundbreaking woman with a groundbreaking theory <3 so much love for this woman.
ОтветитьThank you teacher Carol Dweck for research and introducing the concept of growth mindset .
Before getting to know about this new information, i was so anxious about how about i going to boost my career and learning . As i was a good student in school as i was accelerating to high school and college . I was not performing well , i used to curse myself that i am not intelligent as others and so i got depressed.
But thank you again as i started my university i watched your video ok Khan Academy channel which relieved me from the bad things that i used to imagine for myself like as i can not get success as other intelligent people are
Getting but now with growth mindset, I make failure my one of the biggest ally to progress further and try to achieve that goal.
I am blessed to watch this video as this provides me strength to fight with difficult situations in every aspect of life.
Fantastic, relevant information! Bravo!
ОтветитьWas that sexism at 5.09?
Ответитьdefinitely watch at 1.5x
Ответитьthanks mom to spend your time doing this research...love you from indonesia.
ОтветитьAbility? Like a serial killer. Or mass murderer? Growth mindset causes success. Fixed mindset is moot, of course.
ОтветитьI wish Carol was my Auntie <3 Such awesome science and such a great speaker!! Xxx
ОтветитьNobel Prize for Carol Dweck!
Ответитьشكرا لك ..... thank you
ОтветитьExactly one can transcend any suggested barrier and that is the healthier more positive mindset. We should discourage the falling back upon socially constructed fixed victimhood or income ranked fixed expectations. Of outcome get the lefty mindset out of education
ОтветитьInteresting even if it only backs up Bandler and Grinder NLP approach. Nothing new there.
ОтветитьNobel Prize for Carol Dweck!
ОтветитьSo positive reinforcement leads to positive manifestation.....I believe Hermes "Thrice Great" started this......
Ответитьoh god
ОтветитьWow Carol Dweck is so wise and knowledgeable about Growth Mindset and Fixed Mindset. I also appreciated how she gavereference to the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. Paul L. Allen
Ответитьgrow our minds
ОтветитьThanks you so much for this I really appreciate it!
ОтветитьIt's funny how when it comes it animals we generally equate brain size with intelligence, but we tend to avoid the fact that males have a a significantly larger brain than females.
ОтветитьI really respect the work this women and her team do for society because it gives us a better system of thinking and learning that is necessary for the modern world and coming generations. Truly these people are awesome for what they do and I'm thankful.
Ответить"......and by the way, the males benefited from that growth mindset method as well". How truly magnanimous of you to remember them, professor. Your gynocentrism is peeking through. Best to work on that before your next "objective" lecture session.
