wish there were more games set in a lookout tower setting it really interests me for some reason
ОтветитьReminds me of Fears to Fathom: Ironbark Lookout
ОтветитьJulia's condition is likely caused by alcohol abuse, perhaps even Wernicke's. It's very uncommon that she would have frontal temperal lobe dementia, as that mainly affects personality and not memory. Dementia rarely occurs below the age of 50 unless it's environmentally based.
ОтветитьI didn't know answer to question "What do you want your parent to be".. now I know, Delilah.
Ответитьit was a decent game, but lame ass ending. He should have gotten all up in her guts
ОтветитьI didn't feel paranoid, I felt excited
ОтветитьIn terms of paranoia, don't the dialogue options dictate the direction of the game and how it's presented? When I reflect on my playthrough(s) what I take from it is the way that people deal with life as imperfect beings. The characters are seeking solice and require healing, and thankfully Henry seems to find it in the end; through time and experience, and perspective.
Ответитьis this how nate and nora meet
ОтветитьNot sure I agree with your assessment that the ending is about helping him realise there's nothing more for him and Julia and it's time to move on. We don't know how much awareness someone with dementia has, and even it's only a very little, and only a very little of the time, I think if you've made a life-long commitment to that person, it's your place to be with them, even if you'll never know for sure if doing that was all in vain. Even if they are just purely living in the moment, and not really understanding who you are (or who anyone is,) or what anything means, if you're there, and act with kindness and love towards them, then, each moment, they will be able to appreciate all of those moments, and still have some quality of life. And, perhaps it's also better for you as well. You learn the benefit of honour and respect in a relationship in a really tangible way.
ОтветитьUgh, I'm so tired of all these indie games talking about trauma, loss, and getting over it. I swear, every single indie game that's not a racer, shooter, or beat-'em-up is like that.
ОтветитьStill to this day one of the most beautiful games i’ve ever seen both audio-visually and storytelling wise. A fucking masterpiece this.
The songs «Hey There Delilah» and «What Are Words» just pop into my mind every time.
No
ОтветитьWTF IS THIS
ОтветитьI played this game when i first got my series S, this was on game pass. The questions in the beginning and the art style got her interested and she decided to see what the game was about. Next thing i knew she was hooked watching me play through it like it was a Netflix special. Finished the game in one sitting and she was next to me the whole time experiencing it with me. I will always remember this game fondly.
Ответитьfirewatch is a beautiful game. seriously, the scenery, the soundtrack, and the story.
ОтветитьIt's not actually paranoia. The game confirms the stalker was real.
Ответитьcalling the woman he chose to be with through sickness and through health a "lost cause" that makes flirting with delilah while Julia's dumped at her parents okay is a bit much lmao
ОтветитьCool game, disappointing ending
Ответитьdamn remember when he didnt have that fake girl voice?
