I'm a medical massage therapist who is working with an elderly client of 87 years old. He has severe forward head posture and suffering a lot of pain and stiffness. Thanks for your video. Very helpful. Any contraindications for him. He also has HBP.
ОтветитьI was in a horrible car crash last year where I was almost killed. I suffered a concussion and my head went back and then hit the wheel same as your example video I was hit from the side right side front. I noticed swelling in the upper neck so I got 2 scans at the er , yet they did not tell me anything and told me to follow up with a spine surgeon. I noticed all year it looks like I am developing a hump now. I have so much pain and now I am trying to figure out who is the most respected surgeon so I can get better scans and reading. I need to know if I have an injury or if it is a buffalo hump. What type of doctor do you recommend? for spine scans. Also what test do I need to rule out cushings syndrome or disease? I am wondering if its just fat and tissue so that I can just get liposuction on it or if it is something more serious..
ОтветитьDr Berg, this shirt looks so beautiful on you, really love the colour! Thank you for another great video.
ОтветитьYes had a tailbone injury while snowboarding, and I’ve been told the ligaments at the base of my skull are incredibly tight, almost like a rock! Thanks for the tips!
ОтветитьHi , just watched your video. My daughter has had both compression and tailbone trauma a few years ago from someone jumping on her in synchro not realising she was under water and then a prank at school where the chair was taken away as she went to sit. She continues to have trouble so will try and persuade to try your exercises. She is now 22. Will report back🙂

ОтветитьWhat should we do if we have had several whiplash injuries due to our parents grabbing our hair and shaking our head around at the same time?
ОтветитьMy most sincere THANK YOU, Dr. Berg. I have been a Martial Arts Instructor (Shotokan Karate) for 51 Years and have practiced the biomechanics of falling to the ground safely (Ukemi Waza) throughout those years. Nonetheless, after decades of this process I have developed a forward head posture due to falling to the ground literally thousands of times. What has occurred is something like an "Over Use" sports injury. Your kind info on the home therapy techniques have been quite helpful to me, and once again You have my heartfelt Thank You.
ОтветитьTail bone injury around 14 that showed up in an x-ray years later, which may have led to scoliosis according to my chiro
ОтветитьWe all have this issue because we using the dang phone to watch Utube n looking down.
ОтветитьI’m so greatfull to dr Berg. What would we do without him
ОтветитьI am much more interested in exercises that do not use any device.

ОтветитьI had 3 whiplash accidents yearsss ago...my neck is straight and it's haunting me now 😢
ОтветитьThanks for the info 👍
ОтветитьPlease, does anyone know where you can buy such a device for stretching the neck, like the Doctor in the video? There are a lot of things on Amazon, but there is no such thing.. Thank you.
ОтветитьIs the servical traction device similar to an inversion device ? I heard the inversion device is nice for quick releaf but on the long term it makes your muscles lazy, so net recommended.
ОтветитьYep had all those injuries and the following tensions that very well could contribute to burnout, no? Do such tension consume a lot of minerals like potassium and magnesium, anybody? Mats
ОтветитьCant touch my toes
ОтветитьThx very helpful
I’ve had all of those injuries
I have had all three some time in my life.

ОтветитьOh Yes! I’ve had All those injuries you mentioned! I Definitely have a hard time going to sleep and now I know why! So grateful to have you explain why!😊❤️🌈🌺
ОтветитьWonderful informations.thanks a lot 🎈🥳🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈
ОтветитьI’ve had a tailbone injury 30 years ago from skiing, and have been working in front of a computer everyday up to 8-9 hrs for the past 25 years. I have chronic neck pain and stiffness. Seen many chiropractic therapists and rmts without any solution or actual exercises that work. I have not been offered a neck traction solution. But just laying down on the floor with a towel behind my neck to effect the traction seems to provide a bit of relief.
ОтветитьAccording to spinal specialist Stuart McGill PhD, author of’Back Mechanic’, Jefferson Curl/touching toes goes against the natural curvature of the lumbar spine and is to be avoided, including similar yoga movements. His detail/record on spinal recovery/health is impressive and the subtitle ‘the secrets to a healthy spine your doctor isn’t telling you’, is revealing. Having had a spinal issue, I use it as my bible and to great effect. I like Dr Berg’s videos but won’t be doing Jefferson curls.
ОтветитьYes to all...
ОтветитьWhat are the neck strengthening exercises? He didnt demo them!
ОтветитьWould plank excercises help with this? kind regards!
ОтветитьI have had whiplash. But I am a novelist so I spend more than 8 hrs a day at my keyboard.
ОтветитьI have a mid-back (T4/T5) disc issue, but I also have a diagnosis of cervical radiculopathy. They diagnosed it, billed a lot and sent me on my way saying there was nothing to be done about it.
ОтветитьWow great video. Learned things I didn't known. I think I'm stiff around neck, and also feels tight front of the throat and neck. So its better to stretch back then? I can feel sometimes dizzy, feeling of that ears are blocked, little bit sore behind ears and sometimes blocked in the nose. Also feel heavy in my head and a tight band around it. What could that be? I come and goes like every day!
ОтветитьI have found that shooting 100 or so hoops of basketball helps me very much,
ОтветитьI’ve heard a doc saying sleeping without a pillow or just for 30m every day improves posture this way. I think bring mindful you’re not turning into a goblin behind the computer also works miracles. Goodluck my hunched back comrades!
ОтветитьSo when i was a wee lad i was on the swing, jumped and landed flat on my ass...it was grassy but for a few seconds i couldnt breath, like my lungs were paralyzed and i was suffocating..
ОтветитьBeen sitting at the computer 12-16 hours a day for the past 14 years.
Safe to say my neck is forward, but this video has helped relieve some tension.
Your videos are always really helpful, Thank you sir.
SEHR GUT ERKLÄRT ONKEL DOC. DANKE🙏😊🤗
ОтветитьI had all three traumas to my neck. Thanks Doctor Berg !
ОтветитьThanks for the video. We all should take this seriously, it can press or harm nerves called nucleus tractus solitary, it’s located in the lower gray substance of the brain that ends at the top of your spine. if your posture creates stress on this nerves you could have symptoms like, short breath, heart rythm problems, inproper insulin levels and so on. Some get diabetic diagnostic but in reality they have a problem with this nerve, like me. I had this symptoms from a long time wrong sports and bad life style that causes my neck fail. After 2 years oft Sport to balance my muscles in this area and reverse the posture, all symptoms are gone. Nothing else could be found by any doctor before. So keep an eye on you and your body, it’s the vehicle of your brain for your life. If you don’t respect it your quality of life can decrease faster than you imagine.
ОтветитьKeep spreading the good news
ОтветитьCan you talk about dowagers hump?
ОтветитьYour solutions are incomplete and will not correct forward head translation!
