🔴Eye Health QOTD: Have you tried Transitions lenses before? What was your experience?

I have been wearing photochromic glasses since 1975, I wouldn't wear anything else, back then the lens was made of glass and were sold under the name "Reactolite Rapide" cost for single vision glasses then was £35

I have a problem when walking into a bank with these transition glasses as a lot of banks will ask you to take off your "sunglasses".

Thats interesting about the temperature and climate.

Kinda funny how it works less in the scenarios you need them most. The sun is much lower and not as bright in winter yet they get darker than usual, and in the summertime you need them the most and they dont get as dark

Is there a way to buy reading glasses and try these lenses out before I decide if I really like them or not so I don’t have to waste my money so if I don’t like them, I can get the ones without them

I like transition lenses that way I ain't got to be carrying a pair of sunglasses and a pair of glasses at the same time so I just get transition lenses since I heard about them

Do they go all the way clear inside?

does anyon here knows about a brand called "greenwich polo club"? is it a good brand? they say the transition lens they sell are hihg quality

I started wearing Transitions last month and I really love it. They are pretty cool. I am a
person who loose a lot of stuff, so it’s cool to have two things in one, I used to wear glasses for close vision, and I wore sun glasses, but lost them a lot of times. Now I wear glasses for far vision and I got Transitions, and now I won’t forget my sun glasses.

Do you recommend it for basic, all-day glasses? Can they replace the classic premium glasses?
I ask because I have blue eyes that are sensitive to light and also diplopia, so I want the best for my eyes with the least possible interference from the environment (reflection, bright light, etc.)

I have but I didn't like it because I became photophobic so I suggest sunglasses with prescription for sunny days. This is much more convenient, it's worth it! I like your videos, keep up the good work. Have a nice day from Québec city.

So I just got my very first pair of transitions today, I was interested in the blue light and of course the obviously cool "sci-fi"-ness of the automatically shading glasses. You're my first stop after getting them cuz I just genuinely wanted to learn more about them and how they work and what to prepare for as a new transitions owner. Thanks for making this! Certainly satisfying my curiosity today!

I've been using transition lenses for couple of months now and I think they are great. I've got the polarised variant and they are perfect for all occasions except for driving as you mentioned.

Are the Gen 8 lenses COMPLETELY clear under fluorescent lighting in the office or school?

They ard pricey, $400 a pair.

I have Keratoconus and I feel like the sun hurts my eyes, but I don't always remember to bring my sunglasses(they are almost always inn my car) and I was thinking of getting Transition lenses because it just sounds very practical, then I don't need to remember my sunglasses.

I wish companies would make decent quality clip on sunglasses again that match specific lens frames. So much better than either transitions or having prescription sunglasses and prescription glasses!

Blue light doesn’t do shit to your eyes

I am currently changing up to the Gen 8 lenses and this video has really helped. 😁 On a different note, is that genuine Kinekt ring you are wearing? Wanted one for years but never been able to afford one... 😔 Little jealous if it is a genuine one... 😂

It's easy to get ripped off by an optometrist when it comes to prices. Optometrists in more high end stores want to charge you for their rent, hence their lenses price will be exorbitant. That's not reasonable practice

Personally, I love transitions glasses. They're very helpful when you live in a sunny area. Especially, since i have seasonal allergies, they protect my eyes from getting watery/ itching from the pollen.

Learned about it today when i was in eye doctor's office but that's a No No for me. Think about situations where it's inappropriate to wear sunglasses outdoors, like meeting people for business, sitting by the window in the coffee shop, taking pictures...sounds attractive for someone but definitely not for me.

I love transitions lenses but my eye doctor office my insurance doesn’t cover transitions lenses they help my eyes a lot I have a bad eyesight with light getting into my eye my my eye very blurry.

One question: Gen 8 lens comes with already build In UV light and Blue light protection or do i need to add UV/Blue light protection and pay extra cash? Thank you😊

Even after turning maximum dark Transition lenses do not have impact on our eyes like other dark sun glasses. ( I mean to say one can not feel the color ( gray, brown,green, etc ) even under brightest sun . I feel like wearing the non Transition lenses in my selfee photo glasses look drak but actual feeling on that color never come or view like dark sun glasses I never feel in Transition glasses? Why?
