Switch Lite VS Switch OLED - Which Is The Handheld King?

I love the switch oled! its the only gaming console that I have!

The oled is nice as i do love the screen and oled option but the lite is nice as well as even with the controller dock i got for oled makes it feel nixer in handheld. The lite feels a bit better especailly with grip i got, something about the smaller form factor makes it feel a little better in handheld mode. Both are great, if you play both on tv and handheld mode i say oled. if your purely for handheld mode and feels good in the hands then i suggest the lite. Also another bonus of lite i like the sd card slot better than the oled ^^ Personally i would love a switch lite oled, with upgrades to it such as a better screen, better thumbsticks, and battery life.

Also side note, if you share switch with a sibling or family member and want get your own and dont want pay full price of switch or switch oled, then a switch lite a good alternative when the other person using the main console.

I cant decide between the oled and the lite. I only play handheld and im afraid i wont like the small screen of the lite. Im also worrying that the oled wont be comfortable for handheld 😅

Currently, I have both switch oled and switch lite. I play on my switch lite the most because it's more portable, fits in my purse and mini backpacks, and it fits in my hand super well. but i have an oled for if my switch lite breaks in some way. and for multiplayer

I've had the OLED since since November 2021 and still haven't hooked it up to my TV. I just ordered a Lite. I will be playing Switch games on my TV soon and will use the Lite for traveling. The screen on the OLED is amazing and I'm sure I'll use it occasionally but for the most part it I'll be using it in console mode and the Lite for portable.

And oddly enough, I have big hands and sometimes the OLED is a bit uncomfortable. Maybe because I have the Switch Pad Pro which makes it wider.

I agree, the switch lite is just for me personally I wish there was a oled model for the lite who knows maybe in the future. But as an easier on the go console the lites screen may not be as good as the oled it's still good and for joy con drift never had a issue myself spoken to others who have had one for longer again no issues but that's just us. Don't want a huge library just Zelda and metroid maybe animal crossing? Not a lot got a series s as my home console so to trade my Xbox to knock off the price for a oled when I can get the best of both worlds and get a lite I think lite will be perfect for me personally ☺️👍

Two things are strange in the video:
1-Nintento's left joy stick's location , I mean why on earth isn't that on the same distance from bottom line same as right joy stick ? Bullshit, it looks uncomfortable.
2- how on earth can a person be comfortable with that nails ?

I'm looking forward to the Oled! The Switch Lite feels more portable and compact on the go! I always play the Switch in tabletop mode with the Switch Pro Controller because it feels more comfortable and it gives u that home console feeling!

is it hard to read the texts on the lite? And the battery life is also want me to buy the Oled ,hard decision 😅

I just get v2 Nintendo switch last week

My swOLED was stolen and I'm debating if I should get another one or if I should get a Lite Switch. (I like calling it that cause it sounds funny) I've owned a Lite in the past and I remember it felt great in my hands, but the lack of rumble and the big bezel around the screen bothered me. Like, why couldn't they use that space for a bigger screen? I'm leaning towards the lite because I work 6, sometimes 7 days a week now and it would be easier to carry around or stick in a bag. 🤔

It looks to be the better system. I won't buy a phone w/o OLED... So yeah, it is better. Yeah it's heavier.

I have the switch lite n battery drains so fast, thinking about upgrading to the oled so my kids can play with me

I really appreciate this video as someone who was sort of on the fence about which to get but was leaning towards the lite. I really only play games alone, I have a PS4 to my big tv, I just want to play a handful of games...the lite works fine with me and eliminates the need for all of those Switch accessories and controllers you would normally buy with the docked console. Plus in a few years when my kid gets older I can just give him the Switch Lite and introduce him to Mario 👍

Totally agree, I have both and ideally I’d have a Lite with a larger OLED screen.

I've had the Switch Lite for about a year and then switched to the OLED model. Sometimes I'm looking back... The form factor of the Lite is of course better in a portable situation, but I truly only want one Switch for both handheld and TV, so I'm wishing the next Lite model (with OLED screen) could have dockability added, that would truly be my perfect Switch.

You all keep on saying that you can't do two player on the switch lite & that's not true. You can do two players on the lite but you would need to pair external controllers to it.

Honestly have been struggling with what to have. This one has finally made me make up my mind and go for the OLED over the switch lite even though it's the most positive review of the switch lite. I just think your points are very well explained and it's the best review I've heard.

I don't think the oled will be around for long as only a stop gap so would be annoyed to get it only to realise they bring out a v2 of the oled

I'm currently debating with myself whether to sell my OG Switch and Switch Lite to fund a new OLED Switch. I held off from buying the OLED with the clear reason of I can't go back into playing handheld with the OG size but these past few days I've been tempted with that new screen! I'm glad I've seen your video today because I also feel the same! If Nintendo refreshed the Switch Lite and OLED screen, I would buy that in a heart beat!

I too would love a suped up OLED Lite pro plus advanced XL also with docking function and dock/joycons sold separately so I can also slap it on the tv 😂👌🏼

Very interesting take on this.... have sold my v1 Switch and ordered an Oled with intention of selling my lite (which I use for work) but think I'll see how I feel now when it arrives as I also like a proper d pad too which the lite has... Great review guys have subscribed and also great channel name reminds me of my Spectrum 128k days shopping in WhSmiths (and it still works to this day) 😀

sold my v2 switch and got the oled. totally worth it but i wish they did release a lite model with oled screen. that would be the definitive switch to me cause i never play docked mode
