ОтветитьDoes anyone have a positive experience with etsy? I personally sell products in SK through my own eshop ... and I have tried elsewhere, but I cannot say that it is a recipe for successful business
Ответитьgreat video, I will download the Everbee link
ОтветитьHi, i am a etsy digital products seller i have many questions and need answer can i get your Facebook or any other platforms where i can discuss with you, need a little help?
ОтветитьWeak video, not helping much.
ОтветитьHello! I own a manufacturing unit that makes apparels in leather (jackets, pants, motorbike full leather suits). And opened a shop just 1 days ago. Listed 2 products (motorbike leather suits). Any words for me?
ОтветитьVery helpful...ready to find that side hustle
ОтветитьFound it! Watching these on autoplay. :) Thanks again.
ОтветитьThank you for your great video's.
ОтветитьWhy don't you try a different background just for interest, to make it a bit different.
ОтветитьAnother very informative video.
I noticed during your example listing search for tumbler wrap SVGs, that most of the top results were by one company, aptly named TumblerWrapDesigns. LOL. It made me wonder if such specific shop names typically work better. And, if you open many shops to take advantage of this, would you be able to use the same tax id across multiple shops?
I am a teacher. Everything you've published so far can apply to tg e dozens of online teaching platforms that also take months to set up, and then no students even find you among the thousands on the site that offer the exact same thing you do - languages. Thank you for your intellectual content, it has helped me a lot.
ОтветитьThank you giving the average neard dude hope of success...
ОтветитьFrom Pakistan watching you😮
ОтветитьYou are right about keyword research. Old school and does not provide enough data. Need to go deeper. Also, think of this the reason why some shops don't make sales . . . All the videos that people made showing how to setup an Etsy store ( there are TONS of them) and made a store for a demo, are sitting out there doing nothing.
ОтветитьGreat video! I was wondering if you could talk about making money on Instagram? I think a lot of people use affiliate links to make money. I would love to get your perspective. Thanks!
ОтветитьAmazing video. I enjoyed watching this video. Informative, well executed content. Could you plz do a video on low/content Kdp?? Thank you in advance.
ОтветитьFrom personal experience and reading through the comments I wanted (if Will permits of course 😊) add some thoughts generally speaking and specifically Etsy:
One misconception I believe is a large percentage of, whether Etsy or any like platform, many aspiring creatives either simply don't fully understand or get totally stuck due to lack of knowledge is this👉 Once you have set up a shop, creative beautiful products (digital, on demand or any other deliverable) is THEN the actual "business development" process begins...another words Etsy etc is the end of your customers journey NOT the Beginning
2) it is so imperative once you have a good store opened up to create an active strategy to bring the world to your products... Not enough space to dive deep into that aspect in a post
3) Taking time to learn and execute business development and master the importance of systems and processes, marketing, sales (two different things that often is mistakenly understood as being the same), and documenting absolutely everything from day one ...something in the face to face world as a business we call SOP standard operation procedures is so so important and will allow easement of scaling later
3) MUST BE HUMBLE and willing to accept that in ANY BUSINESS venture, there are roles and so vital to accept that you can NOT be the best at EVERY ASPECT of your business, learn your personal strengths and build on that, leave your weaknesses (or life sucking tasks) to someone else ..leverage, delegate while keeping your pulse on everything required for your success..another words for example:
I excell and absolutely LOVE to interact with people, building rapport is something that has always been super easy for me and as a result I gain a large number of contracts for my service industry BBUUTT
I HATE no I LOATHE IF LOATHE is stronger than hate lol all the painstaking but necessary backend operations.. can I build a website YES should I NO!!! Do I have 25+ yrs of corporate and personal tax knowledge and expertise I HATE ACCOUNTING AND ANYTHING else related so Should I still do my own book keeping and taxes? NOPE NOT AT ALL same with about 90% of various business needs...they literally suck the life out of me (for the record it LITERALLY DID to point of physical collapse 4 yrs ago)
Know about everything needed for your business DO NOT BELIEVE you must RUN IT ALL‼️
Well this is my longest yt post hope it helps and I didn't overstep my boundaries
Thank you Will for all your doing to help the average person. 🙏‼️
Enjoyed finding your channel thank you for the realistic insights for us everyday people!! Your the money myth buster🤗
Ответить😂 love your hang gliding vid.
ОтветитьWell done, detailed, effective and motivational - Thank you!
ОтветитьYour videos are so spot-on and helpful. I am an educated creative with a strong background in advertising and design and an Etsy shop owner. When you say there are tons of videos on digital products to make your Etsy fortune, it makes me laugh. 😂It is so true! While many offer inspiring and helpful info, the processes, execution, and financial reality of output and income are often downplayed or not mentioned. Also, the assessment of early quitters and competition is accurate. Great video; you and Dylan Jharus give the best, most precise advice. Edited to say: finding your audience is the key to its success, research is critical to finding products in demand, plus being unique in your offerings and customer service; if you want to stand out among the crowd, then give people an experience ... you can do this even with digital products
ОтветитьGreat video, keep up the good work.
ОтветитьWhat are your thoughts on selling digital products on websites like Gumroad or kofi instead?
Ответить#1 rule is you can do all of this but your work has I repeat has TO BE GOOD
ОтветитьFish where the fish are. Got it. Thanks, William. Awesome, insightful video ❤

ОтветитьI tried selling digital prints on Etsy last year after months of researching how it works and also studying SEO. It was a big failure with no sales so I gave up after 9 months of paying for listings, photoshop subscriptions and hours designing arts based on demand/trends. My plan was to get an extra money, not even make a whole living out of it and that's why I was so embarrassed of my zero sales. I don't blame Esty, but I also don't know exactly why it failed so hard after following the "successful recipe" on spot.
Ответить😂😅You're funny! Thanks for this video. I'm interested in selling digital products on Etsy. Thanks for the advice. I'm binge watching your videos after subscribing to your channel. Your advice is well informed better than all those channels that give you "you will make a lot of money" crap.
ОтветитьI guess next there will be diving with the sharks olympics. Yeah, cool!
ОтветитьLove the start already! :D
ОтветитьI quit my last job about 2 weeks ago.
I'm 31.
I quit because I wanted pay raise, was on minimum wage.
What would you reccomend I do my friend? Should I purchase a labtop? I just have a tablet, don't own a smartphone.
I also don't drive, I cycle or walk everywhere. But I enjoy commuting and not feeling lazy.
Have £20,000 in savings.
Great video.. Sober approach to the topic.
Nice, slow, understandable speech, like a grandfather (no offence 😂) advising you..
Been one of the first 4000 subscribers. I will be following your journey. You're a good example.
By the way, which software you use to edit the video? That is also a source for AF 🤭
Best regards
Very informative video, William! Could you please also share your valuable experience on "ways to figure out a decent product to sell on Etsy or similar market places." Would be an important factor for young people like me to gain knowledge and be aware of the realistic marketplace scenario.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing, new subscriber here.
ОтветитьRunning rough estimate of the net profit numbers with $4000 in sales:
10% average margins on print on demand products: $400 per year.
80% average margins for digital downloads: $3200 per year.
Ask yourself if that amount of money made for the entire year is worth your time for the average store that actually makes sales.
Thanks for sharing! Is it paid versions of Everbee you showed?
ОтветитьHmm, I’m an active seller and have never applied for a business taxid. I assumed most people operated as sole proprietor.
ОтветитьI started my shop with digital but will switch to POD, l see it as lm not leasing a building for $3900 a month and l don’t have to keep in stock of something that won’t sell. Work is work no matter what, plus l don’t have employees to pay , and tax their checks. I post a bit each day til l figure out what l want to do $8 for 4 months is not bad considering 🤣
ОтветитьThank you for sharing
Ответитьyou’re being negative
ОтветитьAwesome vid. LOTS of great takeaways. Thanks!
ОтветитьMichael from Korea again. Congratulations! Your channel blowing up, you’re monetized … and nearly 20,000 subs 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
ОтветитьI love your channel. I'm a stay at home dad and former photographer/graphic designer. Now that my wife is a med provider, being home is driving me insane. I value this channel because it's the first thing to give me hope in the few years I've been in this new role. I know nothing about business. I'm capable at what I do, but I don't know how to get the attention I need to get my work in front of potential customers. Keep up the good work, please!
ОтветитьSuper valuable info! Thanks Will!
