i could tell the chinese isn’t that fluent but it is funny 😂
Ответитьfluency is not achieved this way, no matter how much you force her. she needs to have a reason to want to do it. where's the family and community immersion where she is rewarded each day for communicating?
Ответитьthis is like certifying in the future they will do whatever they can to avoid learning more mandarin
ОтветитьWhy are u stressing out your kid for no reason. Just talk to them in Mandarin from the time they are born, they will naturally pick it up.
Ответитьshe's so cute haha i get that she is reluctant to studying mandarin, but if her parents/mother keep at it, she'll most likely be happy about it in the future. just like any other subject in school, it's not fun but needs to be done to train your brain and strengthen your basis knowledge to build up on later :))
ОтветитьAw... He's all immersed in the culture too...
ОтветитьIf the kid doesn't want to learn it, don't make them. When I was 13 my parents wanted me to learn spanish (for no reason at all, we are not spanish we are asian) I refused, they got so mad they teared down my door, got rid of my bed and everything including mattress, pillows, sheets, blanket etc,. I ran away from home and don't regret my decision ever since. I blocked both of my parents and don't keep in contact.
ОтветитьThe strangest thing about this is that a successful pair of (wedded) parents do not learn each other's language proficiently. It's harder with age, but never too late to learn another language - which brings so much more than the language itself!
ОтветитьMy mother is Nepali & my dad is Russian. I used to whine and cry as a kid/teenager because they wanted to teach me Nepali, Russian AND my grandma wanted to teach me her tribes language (Tamu Kyi)
Now that im almost 18 im glad that they taught those languages because they're pretty cool. But im especially grateful I know Tamu Kyi since not many people know about it.
Why do I need to learn Chinese living in the US? Look what the Chinese have done creating and constantly spying on the US looking for opportunities to attack and take over. Are we all forgetting this and now you want us Americans to learn Chinese ? Seriously ?
ОтветитьProud!
ОтветитьLearning one's native language will be so much of an advantage later on in life. Only because parents constantly force me to speak Telugu am I able to communicate fluently with family members back in India.
ОтветитьIt's important that the mother speak Mandarin and only Mandarin to the daughter. This way the daughter will be hearing it everyday and will understand the tones, grammar, vocabulary, etc. without sitting in front of a book. That's how it is in most bi-lingual homes. The parents speak their native language to their children. So easy and natural.
ОтветитьThis is hilarious! My daughter is half Japanese and we went through this when she was a little girl. She’s 33 years old now, but still daddy’s girl:)
Ответитьhow to get your kid to hate your language
ОтветитьWhere does the family live in?
ОтветитьDad running the family like a corporation and treating family members like employees. 😒
ОтветитьAwwwww Shés ADORABLE 😂😂😂💓💓
ОтветитьIt's really sad that many children brought up in western countries dont bother to learn their own languages. Being bilingual really has its benefits
ОтветитьI feel like if she still doesn't want to learn Mandarin by the time she's a teenager, that might be a problem in the nearby future...
ОтветитьFather has become the tiger dad..
ОтветитьDada 75 years old
Mom 23 years old
What a 😂
Bro I used to hate studying Chinese cause the exam was difficult but learning Chinese is very helpful like for example I can read and watch drama or others . I’m truly grateful for my parents allowing me to learning Chinese
Ответить谷愛玲需要說中文嗎?
ОтветитьAhhh...this is me learning Maths and Mandarin...the HATRED.
Yea, I fail all my maths up till to my graduation and I give up Mandarin eventhough I can speak it.
I don't give maths a single F
Mom "24 X 6 is...."
Me "RAWRRRR!" just like her with the same look
Her attitude 😅
Ответитьi mastered mandarin and cantonese when i was 2
ОтветитьBeautiful girl
ОтветитьOh yeah, I feel the pain. My kids came to America very young, and before going to school they spoke Mandarin at home. After one semester, however, they talked in English ALL THE TIME. I had to force them to speak Mandarin, and it put a dent in our relationship--but I insisted. Now they have grown up and they're more appreciative. One of them at one point even learned Mandarin in reading and writing by himself for a while.
ОтветитьBring her to China. Immersion will be much easier than force. She is experiencing lack of usefulness in current reality. Child cannot see future, must experience. Or bring her to Queens, NY or Chinatown.
ОтветитьThis is the husband all Chinese women wants 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьMy brain still sayings that's not FATHER> He is a GRANDfather
ОтветитьIf the mother started to talk to the girl in mandarin since she was a toddler she would be talking fluid mandarin by now.
ОтветитьWhat's so unique about a white father scolding his daughter in Mandarin, esp. his Chinese wife speaks the language Mandarin?
He picks up a few Mandarin phrases from his wife.
So what's the big deal about this video?
Bc he is white and repeats a few Mandarin phrases his Chinese wife uses to discipline their daughter?
Doesn't it expose the invisible structural racism in US family society?
Would you make a video when his Chinese wife scolds their daughter in English?
If not, why not?
Bc to you, the incident is worth reporting because of the unconscious structural racism within the US social structure.
If not, there there should be loads and loads of videos of mixed marriage families when the non-white mother or father disciplines their children in Arabic, Chinese, Ethiopian, Vietnamese, Korean, in African languages, in Urdu, Japanese, Philippine, etc.
When you decide to marry someone who is coming sharing the same language or culture, then live in your partner's country, but still want your offspring to keep your language and culture, that is an improbable task.
ОтветитьThe lessons should be made fun. The child will like them and learn 3x faster.
Ответить😂 The translation said he's the father.
ОтветитьMy daughter is mixed and we been trying to teach her Chinese but she keeps speaking in English.
ОтветитьMandarin is really difficult to learn. I'm bilingual in both English and mandarin. In Singapore you need to excel in both English and a mother tongue. By using han yu pin yin it helps tremendously.
Ответить真搞笑,你有本事说一口流利的英语之后再让你孩子说一口流利的中文
ОтветитьI am not enjoying the nasty faced child or the screaming father.🤯
ОтветитьEuropeans when BILINGUAL does Show off WHILE ASIANS KNOW THREE or More languages.😂😂
Then comes legendary Americans who ARE UNABLE TO Master English Only😂😂
The Above comment is Just for Entertainment purpose✨😂
又是找了个老头呗
Ответить"What?"
ОтветитьNot ya'll justifying his psychotic outburst
Ответить东北人么?
ОтветитьDad is a randy old goat, lol
ОтветитьGosh, I feel the mother's pain re: kid's homework 🤣
ОтветитьGosh this is awful..
