Well done Rod. My dad had photographed this car when it was the # 11 car at Torrey Pines Raceway in 1954. I have the slides and have since blown up the photos and put them up next to my 1984 Carrera. Until I saw the Jay Leno Show featuring you and Cameron, I didn't know the # 46 car at Rennsport 2015 I was standing in front of was the red # 11. Thanks for putting all the pieces together.....literally!
ОтветитьWhat an emotional film. Such a beautiful Porsche. A true work of art. Like car 46, Rod and Emory Motorsports will be legend.
ОтветитьWow what an incredible and touching story! Thank you Rod for restoring #46 to its former glory!
ОтветитьRod is truly one of a kind. He and his crew's attention to detail is second to none. This restoration was a labor of love and it shows. To top it off, Rod is about the nicest and most generous person you can ever meet. I am a HUGE fan of Rod the person and his incredible work..........

Ответить👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💪 There's No Substitute.

ОтветитьThe true essence of love for Porsche motorsport and history. This is how you explain a love of cars to someone. A truly incredible achievement and just amazing to see the dedication to traditional build techniques used alongside modern technology to bring a powerhouse of an motoring icon back to life. What an amazing group of people.
ОтветитьI had an Abarth Carrera with the 4 cam and a Spyder briefly and A 356 C nd SC with limited slip and a wonderful cam and rear sway bar with decamber rear end and wide wheels etc . I’ll never forget the smell of them ! 2000 Gt was my fav 356 . The Abarth had a roller bearing CRANK . I worked for Porsche part time while in high school . 1969 and then in 1973 . Dealing with rust was annoying but under control .
ОтветитьWhy does this film has got so few views? It’s perfect!
ОтветитьCIAO MAN , PLS SUBSCRIBE ...

ОтветитьIncredible work and dedication, 🧢 off to you.
ОтветитьTo restore a car like this is like repairing history and finding the details makes this story complete and incredably cool i would inmagine this is now worth quite some money being a le mans winner prices go up fast
ОтветитьI was photographed proudly next to the '46' car in the Porsche museum in 2002, but after watching this I am SO thankfull for the fact that the TRUE 46 car was saved...and to learn of all the configurations it had to endure in its lifetime. Thank you for reviving a great piece art...😌😍
ОтветитьWhat did it win? Blue is usually the winning color.
ОтветитьThis is just ... Love ...
ОтветитьNo need for any Word!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The 356 must be a women...once
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this journey.
ОтветитьThis video gave me chills, and brought tears to my eyes. How can you not react that way if you love and respect Porsche?
ОтветитьTake a look at The First Porsche: the 1939 Type 64. See where #46 evolved from.
ОтветитьAmazing guy, amazing car! The attention to detail on the restoration is impeccable… Thanks for this video!
ОтветитьEvery aspect of this video is gorgeous. Done right!
Beautiful
Gah hearing that archives were destroyed in a fire hurts
ОтветитьGreat documentary. How have more people not watched this video? I am a new owner of a slightly older Porsche and I feel so fortunate to own my humble little 911 and have a part of this very cool automotive history.

ОтветитьI’m a vintage VW man, but this has got to be one of the greatest motoring story’s I’ve ever seen. What a gorgeous car. And to see such emotion displayed by the builder is truly moving.
Well done to all involved, I hope to be able to see it one day.
Looks great.
ОтветитьGod bless everyone who has been involved in this iconic car since 1950.
Obviously, the most important Porsche ever made.
I hope some of this handmade car-building knowledge can stay alive.
I went to many of the 1960s West Coast races with my uncle, Dick Anderson, BMC mechanic.
