It would be perfect if the Ray Bans had a dashcam mode.
ОтветитьI really do enjoy your videos
Ответитьsurprise 150 mile rides are the best ones
ОтветитьDefinitely not the first 'smart' glasses for sports/cycling. Many have come and, luckily, gone before this. Just like this one will be forgotten in two years.
ОтветитьFor three hundred dollars I would absolutely use those on a ride.
ОтветитьCant wait for these to get better. These are so cool. I wish it had a map you could toggle off to the side. Or arrows that pop up and show you the way. Making biking like video game HUDs is a fun options.
ОтветитьAI sells a beautiful lie. But its here to stay.
ОтветитьIf it has AI and takes Cantonese or Mandarin, I'm pretty sure the Chinese are watching/listening to you 🤐
ОтветитьThat already exists it’s called the varia vision and it flopped. I absolutely love mine though and would be very sad if it ever died
ОтветитьThose glasses are definitely not there yet.
Being a slave to technology is not where I want to be (as I type away on my smartphone)…
Ayyy congrats on passing 100k!!Awesome content as always. You da man DK
ОтветитьIt's Mandarin in the system language, if you ever need a PDX local to help navigate to language setting menu let me know :) But this thing does seem to have lots of room for improvement, integration with bike computer would be a very promising idea.
ОтветитьOakley Thump!
Ответитьthe whole AI is done ... and those glasses are def not the future
ОтветитьPersonally, if I was out all day, I'd be more concerned with preserving my phone battery, but that might just be my own old phone, old battery issue.
ОтветитьKudos to LAWK for giving it a try.
The MK1 version of most things isn't perfect. But I'm looking forward to seeing how the tech progresses.
HUD-equipped glasses would be rad.
Dustin is from the future.
ОтветитьI'd say AG is more like "argumentative reality" ;)
Ответить$35 it'd make a solid commuter. Not a racing bike, more like a 70s-era bike-boom bike. Wide tire and fender clearance, ideal Oregon commuter!
That Rob English guy races too. He has some insane recumbent records, but he also has an insane recumbent.
Nope....
ОтветитьDude, being in the PNW, you need a snorkel. All the other gack is kinda a thing you don't need. Kudos for putting up with the discomfort of trying out redundant technology.
ОтветитьThe great thing about not cycling since my teens, and starting up 20 years later is that I got 20 years of bike tech to catch up on
ОтветитьWhat is the name of the song in this video?
ОтветитьYes, buy that bike for $35!
ОтветитьThey look terrible
ОтветитьApple does this with the watch and the iPhone, I’m looking forward to seeing this kind of tech move forward as google is working on AR. I’d love a google AR headset with a Garmin api that displays the data as you go. The Meta ray and are great for everything except displaying data. That’s the next hoop.
ОтветитьI do think they can be really cool if we can figure out the thickness. Also I hate AI in everything, but I could see a benefit in “smart” products.
Think of being able to upload training to your glasses/ computer allowing you to see your current interval and the goal as you are progressing to it. Hydration/ fueling alerts, overall splits.
To me that would be cool fun to haves, but I’m a guy that runs a 89 cannondale road bike on flats, no computer besides my phones Strava, and athletic clothes 😂
Are these better or worse then the They Live sunglasses?
ОтветитьA I the beginning of the end of humankind😅
ОтветитьBoquita!
ОтветитьRiding gives me a break from all the tech. I do have a Strava account, but I like to tune out and focus on the task at hand. I don’t want to have to charge batteries to make my bike go, or shift, or make my saddle raise or lower. I’ve got steel, aluminum, and carbon frames, but I’m hesitant to buy another plastic bike. I really just like going on my big dumb desert rides and putting in eight or ten hours of type two fun. Sometimes it’s good to ride solo all day and go into and out of the pain cave.
ОтветитьAnyone buying those things is a clueless idiot
Not smart, not AI
Why buy into this AI nonsense when I can get the new SRAM Red group set for only $4000?? It comes with a computer you know.
ОтветитьShould give the Rayban/Meta glasses a try - can take photos, record 60 second videos, and play music. Also look like normal glasses
ОтветитьLove tech and I am equally over it.
ОтветитьI only go with basic tech, a Garmin Edge 530, a USB rechargeable Lezyne taillight, and my phone for that just in case emergency moment. I actually went backward with my choice of road bike, 1986 Specialized Allez SE steel frameset with 2012 Shimano 10 spd Tiagra groupset, 1997 Profile BRC carbon fork w/ an aluminum 1" steerer, and 2013 Fulcrum Racing Quattro wheelset. There really wasn't anything wrong with my full carbon Masi w/ Ultegra build, but something about riding a retro build just feels simple and chill.
ОтветитьOk, if you’re into tech/performance. But I would rather have less tech and just experience the ride
ОтветитьWhat do you recommend for dumb ol prescription sunglasses
Ответить👎for the product 👍for the video!
ОтветитьOne of the things I love about cycling is getting away from tech and just enjoying the outdoors even if I don’t know where I’m going and I’m riding a full carbon ebike with a heart rate monitor governing the available watts plotting my route with my smart phone 😅
ОтветитьA big part of cycling is looking stupid though :).
ОтветитьThe more I learn about glasses with HUDs, the less I want them.
ОтветитьWhy always the toothbrush I feel like its a dog whistle
ОтветитьReady player one, player
ОтветитьI ride my bike to forget all this tech shit..
ОтветитьI struggle enough with my prescription inserts under Oakley sunglasses. That looks like a nightmare with 3 layers, haha.
ОтветитьIve gotten less techy over the last few years. First I dropped my heart rate monitor. Then I stopped bringing my computer. And now my high mileage rider is mechanical. Its nice to just have the kit already on your bike without any batteries to think about.
I usually use strava on my phone to track my ride. If the ride is a solo effort over 40 miles, I might bring my computer along so that my phone battery doesn't deplete. Or if it's a group ride I just ask my buddies to add me to the ride after since everyone else brings a computer.
All in all, ive come back around to really appreciate not having constant data. Just ride by feel without worrying about your numbers. My training plan is pretty simple. 100+ miles per week (or 10,000 feet), and follow a big effort day by a couple of relaxed effort days. It seems to work for me since I'm not training for Tour de France. I just like riding bicycles.
Probably be better if it was built into a visor on a helmet, put all the weight and bulk in the lid, keeping the glasses more "normal" keep the vids coming mate👍🚴♀️🏴
