2020 Audi R8 V10 Performance Review // The $240,000 Domesticated Maniac

I'm really digging this Audi R8. This car is a blast. It's one of my dream cars. Next to a Lamborghini, Porsche 911, and especially a Nissan Skyline.

It's time to renovate breaks, essentially with new discs and breaking pads it breaks better. That engine you have so sour memory was underneath. It's something about computer peripherals, having it as close as mouse click which is almost as close as bicycle shifters. Steering sensitivity was improved with later generation cars, which is buyers choice to have it or not.

I bought a brand new 2014 R8 V10 for $154,000. $250k is dumb today.

Audi make great cars though. Compared to this I have a baby of the range (Audi S3 Quattro 66/2017 plate) and mine still does 0-60 MPH in 4.4 seconds, and feels fast, drives super comfortably and I couldn't be happier. It's 306 BHP at stock, and aiming to get a remap to stage 1 eventually, but right now, I don't feel any need. It is still awesomely fast, and just driving in it, slow or fast, brings a massive smile to my face

I love the Huracan but the fact that this is cheaper and has the same engine with awd, the R8 is awesome. Not to mention if you want less attention the R8 is the way to go

There's just one thing that bugs me to no end with pretty much every single Audi I've ever seen. No cooled seats. I simply REFUSE to buy anything that has leather seats if it doesn't have cooled seats because non-ventilated leather seats are hot, sticky, sweaty, slippery, just not comfortable. In fact, I've always avoided leather options in favor of cloth seats for this exact reason. If I'm paying more than like $50k for a nice car, not to mention the $250k price tag of the R8, that's an absolute deal-breaker no question and I don't even care how the rest of the car performs. It's a fantastic car, no doubt, but I'm not going to spend 1/4 million just to be slippy-sliding around uncomfortably in some sticky seats.

You don't get V10s like this anymore. This 5.2L V10 in the R8 and the Huracan is just a gem of an engine ~ If I had the cash, I would definitely buy the R8 over the Huracan because of its more practical nature. But really, both arepretty different in terms of the experience, so you can't go wrong with either one. The engine and the 7-speed dual clutch pairing are just perfect for this car.
