I mean this has to be the greatest video game intro of all time, right?
Ответитьmy brother's friend brought this game to us, back in those days, this WAS AMAZING!!! such a nostalgia
ОтветитьWhen the Oppenheimer ending was true.
ОтветитьThat Canadian freedom fighter being executed on live television, while the soldiers in power armor laugh and mock him, has always stuck with me. War is cruel.
Ответить“Keeping the peace in Newley annexed Canada”
ОтветитьFallout 78 first, then the new Series Trailer, boy how deep this franchise has Fallen 🥲
Ответить…
ОтветитьWho would have said this little 'ol game would have turn into what it is today, I love you Fallout, Bethesda, please don't mess it up with the tv show, but with Fallout 76, I don't know.
But war, war never changes, neither does Bethesda.
Still one of the best intros to a game
ОтветитьWho's here after watching the trailer for the fallout tv show.
Ответитьwtf is this anti-american propaganda?!
Ответитьi wish current fallouts was this dark
ОтветитьHoly shit, i could really make some footage for the intro, extra footage to make it feel more darker than it already is
ОтветитьI never understood why they would show the execution of a soldier on tv lol
ОтветитьDo you ever think about the timeline where Ron Perlman didn't do this intro, so Adventure Time was very different?
ОтветитьI hope a Fallout 5 is more bleak and gritty than 4. I have no idea who cleared the art style for 4, but it looked way too clean and cartoonish. Fallout 1 - 3 feel somewhat real.
ОтветитьWhat bethesda fails to understand that fallout is about the POST apocalypse, the era AFTER the almost complete destruction of humanity. Fallout 1 was a hostile hopeless wasteland but it showed that humanity can still survive or even thrive in these conditions further proved by fallout 2. Then fallout 3 came around and now suddenly the apocalypse never ended and everyting is still destroyed and people are still living in metal shacks with 200 year old skeletons. And also bethesda made easter eggs such as aliens into actual lore. I mean come on, cloning and replacing people? The true fallout died as soon as toddy got his hands on it. I'm going to miss the original wasteland.
ОтветитьFallout 1 will always be my favourite.
ОтветитьOnly 54 Years! D:
ОтветитьNowadays Fallout 4 tries to be family friendly, completely taking away the true essence of a post-apocalyptic world
ОтветитьGood old Ron Pearlman. Been here from the start
ОтветитьThis game is a masterpiece. So glad to have played it in full before any of the 3D games came out. So many good memories.
ОтветитьThis intro was a cynical commentary on the nature of war. It states very clearly that the motives for the old wars that ravaged human history and those that ended civilization were the same. Territory and resources. It implies that self-interest and greed inevitably lead to violence when nations compete for limited natural resources, specially in a world where those resources become increasingly scarce. It is pessimistic and bleak, much like the rest of the game... As peak oil hit the world before the Great War, national hostilities erupted over the last remaining petroleum fields, uranium mines, and other vital assets. Propaganda and deceit dominate the airwaves, glossing over the crimes against humanity that are being perpetrated by the american forces occupying Canada, a reminder of the role of the media institutions in keeping the population asleep. The human ability to split the atom, the crown jewel of the 20th century, the most magnificent achievement in the entire history of physics and engineering, whose discovery sparked an age of hope in progress, was perverted by the pursuit of military supremacy. Instead of unifying humanity, technology only exacerbated our divisions and plunged the world into the most destructive conflict ever waged. It underscores the message that moral progress struggles to keep pace with technological progress, and that we continue to exist a world were, despite all our modern comforts and facades of civilization, mutual assured destruction could condemn a significant fraction all humans who ever lived to be incinerated by the light of nuclear fire, plunging us into a rather primitive-like state of barbarism and dispossession. The world is left dead and silent, a husk of it's old glory is all the memory that is left of each and every human achievement. History is frozen, like a clock broken by an explosive blast, like a shadow of a child engraved into the brickwork, like the ruins of a building whistling with dreadful winds. And the most haunting thing about it is that, even though it is almost 30 years old, it still speaks with such relevance to our actual geopolitical reality.
ОтветитьThere's something so special about a series where the first game starts with with footage of US soldiers in power armor brutally executing unarmed canadian civilians and then the 4th main title you play as a US military vet and that goes totally unanalyzed and never gets questioned at all as they go on to heroically save the day.
Ответить"In two brief hours, most of the planet was reduced to cinders." Scariest part is that if every country launched nuclear weapons at once, it'd probably be faster than that. Or maybe that's the better part.
Ответить+Short +Simple
+no american heroism no one is innocent
I love the music used for this
ОтветитьHow did they create this art style/atmosphere/whatever? What makes it look like this and how do I replicate it if ever I decided to make my own game? It'd be a 3D FPS and I want it to look like this.
ОтветитьBack when "war never changes" actually meant something.
ОтветитьOne of the best game intros of all time. At the very least in the top 5.
ОтветитьI've always been drawn by the bleak atmosphere of post-apo worlds, Fallout 4 seemed silly when I played it but Fallout hooked me in an instant, absolutely unforgettable intro, it's so good I reharse it on a daily basis
ОтветитьI wonder what city it is that is shown here. I am guessing either San Fran or L.A. since the game takes place in Cali, but I cant help but wonder, especially since these locations both supposedly got wiped off the map from the bombs.
ОтветитьMost terrifying thing is the silence after the tv goes out and the wind howling.
ОтветитьI love how the War Never Changes speech here make sense, telling the story on why and how the world came to an end.
Unlike fallout 4 where the phrase was repeated but it was just like a slogan.
"war,war never changes"
ОтветитьThis blew me away back in the day 😵
ОтветитьI love the art style of the buildings in the old games, all those uncanny huge faces and statues on art deco buildings. It's so unique and I wish the new games would return to that style.
Ответитьthat looks like mad max 2 intro
ОтветитьFallout will never happen in real life
Ответить"By gamers, for gamers".
Those are two words the industry has long discarded 😭.
The TV shutting off and the echo that follows gets me every time
ОтветитьDam why can't we get quality like this anymore.😢
ОтветитьFallout Equestria brought me here.
Ответитьpure unfiltered soul
