I rate the Peak Design Camera Capture V3, but it does have a really frustrating tendency to bind up your camera when the metal grinds up a bit... have you had a similar experience?

The Allen key is meant to be used the other way. How did you not get that… doesn’t even make sense? Have you never used a tool before? they added the key ring so you can put it on your keys which is a smart idea.

I had the same problem and I solved it quite easily by spraying teflon lubricant on it. I use teflon because it is non sticky so it doesn't pick up dirt when out and about.

Yup. Lucky Strap's Standard 53 Dark Brown Mocha all the way. Paired with Colorado Tripod's limited edition ultralight Arca plate and it's 'quick release enough' for me.

I'm doing a LOT of research on the Peak Design and the Spider Holster. I'll also look into a Polar Pro version that was mentioned in the comments. I work mostly weddings, and I have a Think Tank Speed Belt V2. I really like it a lot. My camera (Nikon Z6) is on a Peak Design strap that I wear crossbody. The only time the strap is an issue is if I'm with a second shooter and I want to swap cameras with them, since they are not going to "wear" the strap crossbody, I gets in the way for them when shooting.. Not sure if my "issue" is making sense.. but it happens too often, that I feel like I need to throw money at that "issue".. So my current conundrum is trying to find something that will work with my Speed Belt, but that I also like the way it looks.

I think what I may end up doing is getting a Spyder Holster system, and move my Think Tank bags to the Spyder's belt.. but I'm afraid I'll miss the cushiony feeling of the Think Tank belt

My button won't work. The silver thing won't allow the camera to slide in. I'll have to see what the issue it.

You're using the wrong end of the Allen wrench.

Before watching this video, I just assumed the black painted version would have this sticking issue (just a common problem with many products I've become hyperaware of as I live by the coast). This is the primary reason for purchasing the silver V3 version!

Ooohh man, SO frustrating. I agree - Peak Design stuff is SO EXPENSIVE, so you would expect a bit more from it. I did laugh out loud when I saw you lose it though 🤣

I don`t understand the issue yes the camera is sometimes not going out as smoothly as I want but if I don't yank on it like an idiot (no front) and do it carefully it works perfectly every time...and also the capture clip is the only thing on the market that can hold your camera securely on your backpack's straps...yes there is one from Polar pro but just from the videos, I can assume that your camera could fall out because you have to rotate it to get it out instead of a pin to press...but that`s just my opinion.
