ОтветитьGotta have one 😊
ОтветитьNice to see that Paul Reed Smith has pushed Gibson to putting out well finished and well set up production guitars. They were sloppy for sooo long. A little competition a good thing.
Ответить3000 cest n'importe quoi ca valait 1600 il y a 5 ans quel bande de mouton🤭
ОтветитьGreat review and demo video! Would love to learn that blues solo you played! Do you have any Tab available?
ОтветитьGibson puts their guitars in a Plek machine for eight minutes. That is far from a full Plek set up.
Ответитьgets no better this waight relief idea is strange for noobies
ОтветитьImádom❤
Ответить9.1 based on what? where s your scale?
ОтветитьWould not touch this guitar, been playing 37 years and never bought a Gibson or Fender where I did not need to do something to it (This includes custom shop), polish frets, correct uneven frets, upgrade some poor performing parts, like nut, tuners, poor pot sweep etc. I just go with PRS now, they may not be so historically accepted, but you buy it, plug it in and play it. All the PRS I have bought have been perfect off the wall. Fender and Gibson need to really up their components and QC.
ОтветитьBought a used Les Paul standard , ñever looked back.
ОтветитьLes Pauls rule.
ОтветитьJust got mine about 6-months ago - love it! Same finish as the one you reviewed with a AAA top.
ОтветитьHighly over rated
ОтветитьOkay. I've been battling (inside of my head) whether to buy this or the '50s Standard. This is the one for me.
ОтветитьI love my 60's standards... but 10.5 lbs is too much. My 2005 and my 2016 are far lighter.
ОтветитьI’m in the market for a 60s standard. I haven’t decided whether to get the bourbon burst or the blueberry burst. I plan on getting one in a couple months. Great review!
ОтветитьI bought one love it
ОтветитьA muddy mess with that distortion pedal….yecch
ОтветитьI’m some ways I agree with skender lol but not by covering the head with black tape like Robin from dreadnaut
ОтветитьIf I wanted to remove the pickups and install Seymour Duncan’s, do you have any idea what a general cost might be to have them installed at an average music shop?
ОтветитьAnyone compared the standard 60s to the Adam Jones model?
ОтветитьThey’re always talking about a good resonance of the Body: That’s a misunderstanding of physical laws. A resonant body eliminates energy of the strings: Always!! The sound is always a result of frequencies that are not eliminated by the body.
ОтветитьI wish I could afford a les Paul 60’s standard!! 😢
It’s my dream guitar, flamed or quilted!!!❤️🙏😎👌
I’ve owned a Gibson ‘83 LP Custom, ‘92 LP Std, ‘13 LP Sig “T”, and now just bought a ‘22 LP Std 60s “Iced Tea”…it’s fabulous! So well made and the 61 pups are sweet too.
Mine weighs about 9lbs 13oz. I love the authentic weight of a Les Paul but man is it heavy
Don’t ever sell a les paul standard with a burst. They go up in value always.
Ответитьif I'm not able to buy one in store/in person and order online, is there a chance that i receive a top that has little to no flame or do all standards have a noticeably flamed top?
ОтветитьFreak it..I worked my ass off this life. Take my money!
ОтветитьEveryone complains about the price when, adjusted for inflation, these guitars cost nearly the same today as in 1960.
ОтветитьI wasted countless amounts of money, doing god-awful things to my strats to get a fatter sound out of them. Strat players can be a very persnickety and holier than thou bunch of people and had I bought a Les Paul right off the bat, I think I would’ve been a more satisfied guitar player.
ОтветитьShow me a bad guitar that doesn’t resonate.
Ответитьraised nibs on the neck binding? Why do they do that? The strings catch between the end of the frets and the raised nib on the binding.
ОтветитьFunny, I have the same guitar, and a couple of weeks after receiving, I put the 61s pickups on listing... I didn't like at all. Since I have other guitars with 57 Classic and Burstbucker Pro, I've isntalled on her a couple of SD P-Rails. After all, a matter of taste.
ОтветитьIts freakin breautyful
ОтветитьTo me, the non-weight relieved heavier Les Paul’s just have a better tone. I’ve been playing guitar over 40 years and every time I pick up a weight relieved Les Paul it just sounds rather anemic, almost like its balls hasn’t dropped. Some people claim they can’t tell a difference but I can! And besides, if I want to hollowed out less Paul, I’ll buy an ES-335.
ОтветитьGreat job! Thank you so much !
ОтветитьBought a new 2022 60's standard in Iced tea last year and actually regret it now. 😢Not because the Gibson is not incredible because it is
but because i regret not just getting the Custom shop R0 VOS i originally wanted. At that time i just could not justify spending the extra
$3500!😱 Now almost a year later i wish i would have not been so worried about the cost and just went with what i really wanted.
Truth be told because of that desire for the R0 i will never be 100% satisfied with the Standard. It just does not fill that void.
i really really really want one in unburst .
Ответитьyo mine came in a black case as well as supposed to the Lipton case. Does everyone know what the deal is with that?
ОтветитьToo heavy
ОтветитьAlmost 11 pounds is unacceptable for a now 3K Standard, Gibson is laughing all the way to the bank.
ОтветитьJust bought the 60’s standard in iced tea. Super excited. Thank you so much for making this video. This will be my first Les Paul and didn’t know what to get. I’m confident I made a solid choice. Now on to binge all your videos. Haha.
ОтветитьAgree on the burstbucker 61s being amazing. They were an acquired taste for me as I initially thought they were thin and harsh and nasal sounding when I got my standard 60s but now that I’ve dialed them in and spent more time with them I’ve come to really like them. They have nice bite due to the hotter output from the 50s pickups but still retain clarity and articulation. They also cut through a mix nicely when I record.
ОтветитьI discovered your channel because of the factory tour, it's a great video.
ОтветитьLooks like a classic ,it's beautful.
ОтветитьI received a 60s standard for my 50th birthday last month and it is a total beast. Amazing resonance, great pickups, fun to play and beautiful to look at. I also have a Epiphone Modern Figured Les Paul which now spends a lot more time on the stand since picking this one up. Great review. I hold mine in high regard. I'm glad you concur.
ОтветитьI want the 59 paf with the 60 reissue. My classic has the classic 57’s and they’re amazing.
