Subdomain or subfolder, which is better for SEO?

I guess I should be fine going the sub domain route since this video almost confirms that Google does relate the content on a sub domain to the parent domain thus adding more SEO weightage to the parent domain.

Hi, I have a doubt. I am about to migrate all my courses from an e-learning platform to my WP site. As my students will start to get more time on my site to watch and access my courses, that would increase the time ONSITE and with that also help in SEO, not to mention that I won't be sending traffic to another site.

If we point out from subdomain to main domain pages.. It would be considered as internal or external links then? It is easier to pump in content by creating subdomain and using cms.. like wp.

If it's nature is completely different from your existing website then you should go for sub-domain. Otherwise creating sub-folder is the better option to avail some SEO benefits.
