How to RGH3 a Xbox 360 Phat (Falcon/Jasper) - Chipless RGH 3.0 Tutorial!

After reading the nand and doing create and write xell i got an error and my pico isn’t showing up on my computer anymore

Just ran the "Read Nand" on a Jasper and the program asked me what size Nand to dump. It gave me a choice of 64mb (system) and 512mb. I selected the 64mb option, should I redump the Nand using the 512 option instead or does it matter?

hello, I want to make my jasper v1 console in rgh 3 and I want to talk to you because I see that you installed rgh 3 on an xbox 360 phat and many of the xbox 360 fans told me that it is unstable and I want to say that the console it deserves rgh 3 per phat at 10hz or 27hz ?

I tried to solder the wire to ft2p21 smc_post1 and the pad fell iff is their anyway that i can solder to another pad

It's most likely my goofy soldering but when I turn on the console it shuts off after a second. I'll retry my soldering tomorrow, I need some new heads because mine are starting to not even take solder.

Great video 👍 I’m having a little issue. Installed j runner w extras and installed the drivers for the xflasher as well but when I open jrunner while having xflasher plugged in and set to spi mode it doesn’t show up in jrunner.

Followed this guide to install the the RGH3 after I had some issues with the RGH1.2 installation on my Falcon Xbox 360 (RROD 0010 error and then no HDMI output after fixing it).

The only slight difference i have on my installation is rather than using a single 22K ohms resister, I am using 2x 10K ohms resisters in series (didn't have a 22K at the time). So far my console has been booting consistantly for the past week since its installation and hopefully stays like this.

Can i fo it with usb Flash drive?

can i use 22k 1 resitor or must it be 22k 1/4

I wish I knew how to solder, I'd love to do this hack but it seems so difficult for a beginner like me (only done soft hacks up to this point).

Huge props to your guide, now I'm a proud owner of both a Kronos RGH3 Elite unit and a custom-cobbled-together MS serviced Falcon that's RGH3'd. Kronos was done locally, the Falcon I did it myself.

Bought a Pico, worked straight out of the first try with 27MHz. Shell is made out of a Elite Falcon that had a missing faceplate, and a scrapped (broke traces when removing X-Clamps >.<) white May08 Falcon.

Now, just to get Aurora in there, and a new drive... I think I have a black WD Scorpio that's best suited for it :)
Also have a early 16MB Jasper I might try again on. ;)


EDIT: It seems to take a lil' bit with 27 MHz. Not that I really care, that's just assuring me "hey, it's workin' its magic alright, so sit down an' shaddap!" (Abe's Exoddus loading screen reference lmao). Still trying to figure how to get Aurora in there :)

I have one 512 jasper.
Read and compare nands are ok.
But when i write xell image, it beeps but the message "writing xell image completed" or something wont show up and it only says writing xell image and it stucks.
If i turn on my console with eject button, it turns off after about 2 sec.
No red lights. Just green light and turns off

is there an alternate point to post1?

would a rectifier diode work? I have only 1n4007 ones :( I harvested a diode from an old pcb that seems to be a switching one, but it's pretty old and I don't know if it's reliable
and a 20k resistor would be enough?

I working with raspberry pico on a falcon xbox and the same thing is doing with both ways 27hz/10hz

i just bougt a Falcon Elite for fun and tried RGH3. But sadly it wont boot, neither 10 or 27Mhz. RGH 1.2 is not interessting for me because i dont want to buy a chip. But i have also another Elite with Jasper Board, Maybe this will work. :) Edit: YES my Jasper 16MB is glitching :D

so ive been trying for a month now. i have a dump of my xbox. but then after that the xbox wouldnt boot and now it will not connect to my jr. it says console not found. what do i do?

I did it step by step but my console jasper 246 MB does boot in the XELL to get CPU Key . Could you please suggest me to bring it work fine? I check the soldering , It were correct and now I clicked read nand again so I lost the originon nand. thank you.

My Jasper dosen't even want to be detected by J-runner using pico-flasher

Just ordered a Jasper. Watched your whole video; I only have minor experience soldering in school years ago but I think I may give this a go. I’m pretty hands on. Great tutorial; love how in depth your tutorial was while not being patronising. Will be sure to update you on how it goes when I eventually get all the kit together ❤

I messed up One Jasper for the First Time. But thank you i did It on another Jasper and a Falcon and It perfectly works

Great Tutorial. So I wanted to do it with one Xbox 360 Jasper but someone was there before me and the board was do messed up that the first one was a fail. The second Xbox I bought was a 360 elite Jasper. I used the Pico Flasher and faced the Problem that it would read the nand but they would not be the same,wrong header or it would automatically select RGH 2 even though it was a stock console. For those who have similar problems and soldered everything perfectly, in my case the cables which I bought were the Problem. After I change every kabel to a thicker one it started working. And so I have now a RGH 3 Xbox. In my case 10mhz works better than 27. Thank you for your step by step guide which was very helpful.

Did you make your nand wires or did you buy them? Those seem like it would make it easier.

Can anyone help me find a guide (if possible) for a refurbished xenon board. I believe it had a different code name elpis. Recently picked one up.

I tried to make the change, I read the nand and apple reads, I write rhg3 on the console and it says that it is written correctly, I turn on the console without the DVD player the LED does not start flashing with the player the console starts but nothing is visible on the screen, what can it be?

This might be a dumb question, but what is the main benefit of RGH 3 over RGH 1.2?

Hi ! Tried to RGH my flacon but no luck... Won't boot into xell, the console immediatly shuts down after spinning the fans for half a second...
Wiring is ok on the second try, did I fry my console ? When I put back the retail it flashes 3 red lights... Maybe the diode and resistor must be removed before ? If someone could give me a hint I'd appreciate... (sorry if bad english)

without the diode, wont it boot?

Love the tutorial, but I always giggle at some of the blacked out info. None of it is really identifying or useful to outside parties.

oh my fucking god....... i followed modded warfares guide thinking everything would be fine. i tackled my falcon fatty and the yellow nand wire point on the nand my solder went cold when tining i added a little excess, and when jrunner FINALLY recognized my console and flashed nand with xell image my console would turn on but no display.... u fucking solved one of my problems again thank you man <3 :(((rip fatty

jrunner keeps coming up that it is looking for up dates then it shuts down after a long time

I found that if you dont have a TV on it wont boot its looking for a HDMI signal. That might be why people think it dont work at random.

What's weird for me is that the power socket looks like a falcon, but the power supply is 203W and the description above the socket in the picture is the same as zephyr. So do I have zephyr or falcon?
