Nokia had long history of beautiful devices, why are they still sticking to boring slab design?

N70, N73, N95 were devices we still get nostalgic about. After that era was over, Nokia did not do much in their SW department. Nokia Lumia could have been todays Android, but sadly not. HTC, Sony and Motorola brought the Android wave.

I had Nokia N8. A great phone. Even after I changed phone later on, I would use the N8 with sports tracker when jogging.

I didn't know about Symbian at the time, but seeing it many years after its been discontinued I am surprised at how modern both its features and interface were back then. It's a shame it didn't continue to develop, it could have really surpassed android and apple. Alas we see healthy competition is little by little being stamped out in the mobile phone industry and google, apple, and samsung are controlling almost everything now days.

Why my N8 when I take pics are “white” or better super over exposed? And instead the videos are perfect. I tried to change every setting but photos still remain the same

Trying to remember what phone I had with a fm transmitter built in brought me here . Man I miss the innovation of Nokia .

If only Nokia would have had a good head on their shoulder! Meaning the Bosses letting the best Nokia team fix things! Then this phone would have been top notch! Along with n9 but noooo! Such a shame! And disgrace!

This is the exactly the time Nokia lost me for Samsung. Back in the time around 2012 the Samsung Galaxy S plus cost around 299 EUR when Nokia N8 and E7 cost twice as much around 550-650 EUR which was a a huge difference back then when you were not used to see so expensive phones like today. The Galaxy S android interface was extremely smooth and the screen was amazing, not to mention how light the phone was compared to the Nokia ones. There was no doubt which true smartphone I would choose. Sorry Nokia! :( Still sad about their loss.

Mine was Nokia C7 , I was in awe using that phone from 2011 to 2015. I kinda miss it, I still have it but it doesn't work anymore plus the shattered screen.

Nokia n series aheah of its times

I have an N8 just for nostalgia sake. What I love about the phone is how many cool hardware features and I/O ports/slots it has, like a xenon flash with autofocus light, a ring illuminated home button, a charging light, two-stage shutter button, and a spring-loaded lock/unlock switch. Reminds us how many awesome hardware features are missing from flagships nowadays.

My buddy in college wanted this phone. He settled with an iphone 2g. Which I believe was criminally overrated back then. Since it lacked basic features I loved on a relatively cheaper symbian phone.

I had this phone from 2011 to 2015, and I absolutely hated it's poor web-browser speed. The camera was the only good thing about the phone. When I finally replaced it with the Samsung Note 3 in 2015, I was blown away by it's speed. Ah... good times.

It was not first nokia with capacitive screen. X6-00 already have it.

nokia had one HUGE problem.. called apps.
apple killed the market with the AppStore and android copied the path.
Nokia, Blackberry had no developers and no one had interest on them
