The acsm guidelines tell you to only do between 20 to 60 minutes of cardio per session 3 to 5 times a week so then why do you train for 2 hours per session?
ОтветитьGreat and very interesting video! 🙌🏼
ОтветитьWow. Question: been training zone 2 for a few days now and it sucks not being able to run. With consistency, will my walk become a jog?
ОтветитьRunning at zone-2 sub3 marathon and giving lecture on running. Impressive!!!
Ответитьi simply cannot believe this guy can run my 5k max effort pace for an entire marathon while casually talking to a camera.
ОтветитьThe MAF method gives me 145, calculating from my max gives me 172 🙃
ОтветитьGreat video!
Are you Dutch? Ever ran the marathon of Rotterdam? 😁
Question about zone 2 and using fats as a fuel source. In the video you consume a few gels, which are mostly carbs correct? If zone 2 is burning fat for energy, shouldn't we then consume fats while running to keep fueled? Just looking for some clarification here as seems counter intuitive, if I'm trying to burn fat for energy I'd think I need to resupply with fats no?
ОтветитьBrilliant video. Very informative and entertaining. This has given me all the information i need. Thanks. Subscribed. 😊
ОтветитьHi Floris! Great info! When running such long distances on track, should one be cautious of running only in the same direction or is that completely fine?
ОтветитьI'm not running, just doing some weights training and I feel like I'm missing aerobic training very much. Do you have some suggestion on how to run in the winter time?
ОтветитьHi Floris. All hail the algorithm for bringing me to you.
I've always been fairly active individual, but I've always struggled with making running part of my regular routine, despite it doing wonders for my mental health.
I always suspected it, but your video really hammered it home to me that I was pushing way too hard and feeling way too self-conscious about my performance. You've really motivated me to get out of my head and focus on enjoying my runs through zone 2 training. Now I feel like I can finally make running a true part of my life and wellbeing.
Thank you!
I don’t think you guys understand how insane this is. Bro ran a sub 3 marathon CASUALLY while having a conversation with us the WHOLE TIME.
ОтветитьMy low HR is only when walking 😢
How to run with low HR?
i think i have higher heart rate sitting here watching your lecture sir lol amazing level of fitness
ОтветитьWhat can we get on MAF formula? Our Zone 2 rates? Or a threshold between high and low rate?
ОтветитьI used to run, and never heard of low heart rate training Does it make your heart stronger? Is it good after a heart attack to strengthen your heart?
ОтветитьToo good man👏👏👏
Ответитьwhat a great real deal demo...not just words🔥🔥
ОтветитьI have watched this about 10 times so far! My favorite video. It’s bad ass that he can be this informative while running a sub 3 marathon. Hardcore GOALS!!!!!
Ответитьgreat run. thanks for the tons of info.
ОтветитьRunning a marathon under 3 hour + with low HR and delivering the message with ease .. seriously 🤔👍 I am new recreational runner - this content really inspires. Question what abt strength training during low HR training?
ОтветитьReally is a shame I can only give it one like , I don’t run but I have subscribed for the way you present the information it may help with my other training, cycling and indoor rowing.👍👍
Ответитьyears of consistency creates the zone 2 clase durring marathon. This is proof that consistency and pace is key. Great vid
ОтветитьYou schooled me while running a practice marathon. Thnx . your info is gold brother.
Ответитьyour running 9mph.. my treadmill only goes to 9mph.. we die doing half the max.. this is insane.
ОтветитьSub 3 marathon pace is not a conversational pace for me. You are a killer!!! 😂
ОтветитьI want to sleep better but my kids disagree. Nice video though.
ОтветитьThank you. Good info
ОтветитьYeah a solid advice all around! I don’t look at distance at all with my Apple Watch. I make sure I am zone 2-3. And try to spend a good amount of time in each. It also makes it so I’m not pushing myself as hard.
ОтветитьReally basic and amazingly helpful. Thank you.
ОтветитьI wonder how much of LHR training success is due to survivor bias. I've tried it every which way and it just did nothing for me. Even got to 150km a week, all at MAF, and everything in between. But if I go out and run 3km with a heart rate in the 180s, I get an almost instant boost in how fast I run at MAF. Like within a day or two, which carries on until I do another speed session. LHR is fine I'm sure, but it's not the answer for everyone. But if you're known as the LHR guy, you'll be hearing from lots of ppl for whom it worked, all the time. And maybe not so many from those for whom it didn't work and they just gave up never to be heard from again
ОтветитьThank you for explaning. Starting this with a next run.!
ОтветитьThose sneakers look great but wow pricey !!!!
ОтветитьGreat video , thanks so much , very informative !!!!!
ОтветитьI'm a long time hard and over trainer! If that's your mindset it's so hard to train slow. At 65 it's time to give this a real go, thanks for the video! 🙃
ОтветитьI was exhausted to hear you talking while running. Shut down vdo after 2 minutes. Désolé.
ОтветитьAll I know is California is getting a lot of chemtrails in background. Yeah, I know they don't exist, or, Dude, them's condensation trails. Yeah, I'm sure you're right...
ОтветитьBruh. This guys doing a PowerPoint presentation in his head running 6 minute miles during a marathon.
ОтветитьDoes anyone know if this form of training work for cycling aswell??
ОтветитьCaffeine is of course a drug addiction
