As an Japanese high school student, I think we don't appreciate enough the quolity of the chalks. At least I never cared them before. But I have never felt uncomfortableness when I use chalks.

A lot of these Mathematicians can’t teach though. You see a lot of students struggle with math because math is one of those subjects that only a few can teach.

I'm personally just happy about schools adopting smartboards more and more.
Far less waste of ressources and much cleaner. Teachers can save what they put on the board to pull it up again later. They can put pictures and graphs onto the board and just directly write on it.

something told me that somehow
only math teacher that actually love to use chalk, during my elementary we have like 2x sided boards that can be flipped around one for marker and one for chalk, and guess what only the MATH teacher uses the chalkboard, most of the teacher even chemistry, biology, and physicist uses whiteboard

Yup first week of physics PhD my friend comes into the office with a large yellow box of Fulltouch chalk. I don’t know why but that just made everything so much better, we were excited to get work done on the board. Nothings worse than writing with that skinny Crayola chalk.

I prefer chalk more than a smart board or a marker it is the best to do complex calculations and in solving logs and doing calculus

There is something about chalk boards that still get me in this era of smart boards. Maybe that sound of chalk hitting the board is the thing, idk. It just feels better to me

Japanese stationary in general is amazing. It might not even be made with high quality materials sometimes but the product is always well made. I study in my free time and i like to write with a mechanical pencil and coloured inks to coordinate. All my pens, pencils and paper are japanese. The paper feels so nice to write on.
