I find it very hard to believe you have never watched Naruto. Sorry but i just cant bring my self to understand how someone who is such a fan of DBZ and One Piece to have excluded one of the longest running Toonami shows for so many years.

Your editor needs to TURN. THE. FUCKING. VOLUME. DOWN. ON. THE. TRANSITIONS.

Naruto was terrible with recaps and flashbacks especially in the anime…if I have to tell you how well I know Kakashi’s past with Obito at this point…
Also I find many Shonen anime and manga chapter and episode titles have the titular stuff happening in the last few minutes or pages all the damn time…

Naruto has been a part of my existence since 2006. And you, my parasocial friend, have done Naruto a great justice in noticing all the details that could easily be lost in the big picture. You're really good at what you do, so please keep it up! Also, tell your editor that they are a genius. Side note, you made me actually start one piece! Super happy I came across your channel because of this video. ❤

my personal take on the five kage summit arc is that this arc was supposed to be Team 7 at their worst. Each member was at their lowest in the entire series in my opinion.

Naruto - Even after fighting Nagato and promosing to find a solution to the cycle of hatred, when confronted against sasuke who personifies it, he does not have a damn clue how to go about it. He feels like he needs more time, but the entire ninja world is bassicly against Sasuke and trying to kill his friend, and he cant do anything about it. The panic attack is bassicly Naruto, an idealist realizing that nothing is coming up, and he is just scared. For himself, and how he cant find his answer, and for sasuke who he does not want to get killed obviously.

Sasuke - Probably the most obvious one. Sasuke is on a one-way mission to destroy Konoha and has basically given up every moral he had, including betraying Karin. Hes also the bloodhtirstiest we've ever seen him. His damn chakra was described as being COLDER than the curse mark. How do you become colder than something called a CURSE mark

Sakura - For sakura, its not quite as obvious, but shes always been a character driven by her feelings towards Sasuke and Naruto specificlly. When she told Naruto that she loved him, this was her lowest point because sakura who was supposed to ground the rest of team 7 and act as the middle man (mark even mentions this with her color being the middle between naruto and sasuke) was now trying to manipulate Naruto, her friend and try to kill Sasuke. This is her lowest because she is going against her feelings, as well as trying to fool everyone around her. Shes lying not just to her friends but to herself as well by thinking she actually wants to kill sasuke. Naruto himself even senses this and calls her out to her face.

Kakashi - Kakashi specificlly, I would say he just felt like a failure of a teacher. We know kakashi's backstory and how much he cares about his team, so him also feeling like he has to kill yet another precious member of his team would probably destroy him if he actually did take out sasuke

There is a portion of the story from where Kurama merges with Naruto willingly, to Sasuke and Itachi battling Kabuto, to the To y reveal, to the revival of the previous Hokage, to Dasuke rejoining team 7, to the Kakashi vs Obito fight where the story is hitting at peak gear, from scene to scene to scene. It is one of my favorite story experiences ever. And it just keeps elevating. I was already loving loving Naruto the story up to this point t, and I agree with Mark that the beginning of the war wasn’t well executed and rambled on without focus, but once Naruto and Kurama merge, game over. The story shines. And it keeps shining for a long time. I just love it. In the anime this section covers nearly 80 episodes of grandeur. Check it out. Peak anime, peak manga, peak fiction.

As an Orphan Naruto was special to me as a kid, I used to watch it at the orphanage and even later on with my foster siblings at our new home, which is why the moment Sakura made fun of Naruto for being an orphan in front of Sasuke, another orphan, she was public enemy #1 at the foster house 🤣

I watched Naruto growing up and it has always been one of my favorite animes. Watching this review not only made me remember some of the amazing moments that happened in Naruto but hearing your analysis on it caused some of the moments to have a deeper meaning for me and in other cases gave me a different perspective on some of the things that have happened. This has caused me to grow even fonder of Naruto than I already was. I normally don't leave comment on videos but I wanted to thank you for making this video, it's amazing!

Thank you for this massive review, it took me on a journey back through the entire story, which i experienced while in middle school/high school. As a fair recommendation, I'd love to see you check out and make a review on Shaman King.
It was a nice story running at the same time as the big three, it was very popular, but it died down a lot because the author didn't finish it when the sales dropped, later he finished it and it's had a very rough road to here. But it's absolutely worth checking out. I find it as an amazing manga which stands out from the others.
Also, many things in Shaman King 100% inspired the other mangakas. Yamata no Orochi, Susanoo and Madara's ideology all seem to have found inspiration through Shaman King. Which is amazing in my opinion.

I dont think the intent was ever for any of the kids to die in the forest of death
all the deaths were caused by bad actors going against the rules

You should have mentioned how Sasuke got his ass kicked against Killer Bee.

Also the animation for the Pain vs Naruto was so cool, it was appropriate for showing how powerful those two were.

Man watching this brought back so many memories as a kid. I remember being that kid in high school who stopped watching anime and wasn't a part of the group of kids who ran with their backs low in the hallways, but secretly none of my friends knew that I continued to follow and read Naruto week by week, chapter by chapter, month by month, and year by year. Naruto was always a weird inspiration in that Kishimoto knew how to craft a real life character so well and embody what it means to grow up with ambition and dreams, the tenacity to constantly get up and work towards them, and then the resolve to follow through once the dream has been accomplished. What I didn't understand as much then that I do now as a 32 year old, is that he was also incredible at writing the side that shows the human side of passing on your will to the next generation and the fact that everything you do until the bitter end can have purpose and meaning.
