OMORI: The Long Awaited Masterpiece

I played this game already and only now do I understand that Basil disappearing after going “Mari…she’s…” is Sunny repressing him down to Black Space because he found what Sunny tried so hard to conceal.

I’m stupid af.

My problem with omori isn't the length but the lack of direction/ how confusing the objective is. I've played really long games like rdr2 but I struggle to figure out how to continue in omori and it's a shame because I already know the game is going to be amazing but I can't continue.

I fucking agree with the mewo room I wanted to see the dialog until realizing I cut her open and I legit cried for the rest of the day. I felt so guilty and I also have 4 cats because their my favorite animal so it hurt me a lot

even after getting massively spoiled, i loved figuring out the smaller things / details, and still cried, multiple times

I'm not sure about Abbi, but humphrey and the giant yellow cat being 2 of the world's powerful beings makes sense because they are both from Sunny's childhood, one being from a book and the other being playground equipment. They've been in his subconscious long before he created headspace.

I don’t think I could’ve played this game . I think I may have one mental scar too many. But I’m glad I got to hear this story.

Have had this game stuck in my head for a month, and I'm glad that Omori has yet to die off.

Kinda strange but the night i finished playing Omori, I had the best sleep i've had in a long time.
Apart from that, I kinda wish Omocat did like a manga or some sort of comic which shows how Sunny's friends took the news. I'm just craving more content. The game lives rent free in my mind.

it's been about 2 weeks since i finished this game and it's all i've been able to think about, basically listening to the ost when i can and watching other people play it to kill time. a few songs still make me tear up, definitely worth the tears.

I'm a bit sad that I went into this game already knowing the big reveal, but it's still an incredibly good experience! Design wise the game is great, the soundtrack really slaps, and the core message resonates and is very touching

The song used in memes known as Oyasumi. Is called my time and it's from omori. It's the song for the bad ending where you just give up against the final boss while looking for the truth. You say no to persisting and Sunny jumps off the hospital roof. And in the background is my time. Also known as Oyasumi Oyasumi.

I just want to say that if you enjoyed Omori, I highly recommend Jimmy and the pulsating mass on steam. It is quite similar, but has a very unique story of its own, and is chocked full with so much side content that it does 1-up Omori in that regard. I won’t spoil anything more, but I will say that it has certain other dark topics in it as well.

WHAT THE HECK.

Omori still sticks to me, almost two years since I first played it. Mental health and trauma being a huge theme hits me personally. The characters are charming. The gameplay is exciting and unique. The artwork and music is stunning and well done. To me, this game is nearly perfect. It is literally my favorite game now. And it practically saved me from ending my life, because I remembered that people still love me. Just like people still love Sunny despite everything.

I absolutely love this game! Even though I was a year late. I am gonna get the game soon on switch!! I’ve already watched a play through. I am also absolutely broke from omocats shop ;(. But I will forever love this game! I even got a friend group from it each of us a different character. But only online cause we don’t live near each other sadly. I’m the sunny! But the Aubrey left the group maybe she will come back someday. I’m gonna get a violin for Christmas 😎😎 really cool cause my favorite characters sunny!! I’m mostly like him the only difference is I don’t have much friends and I’m a women 🥲

I like how the game doesn’t really go into Aubrey’s situation. Although part of me wishes there was more attention given to the real world counterparts of the characters, I feel allowing the player to interpret things their own way is the right call, somehow it’s more personal and heavier.

honestly I do not regret buying this game. It was an amazing ride

theory/headcanon time!! mari didnt die from the fall, she was only knocked unconcious. she died when basil and sunny hung her, which is why her eyes where open. she was to weak to say anything, but she knew what happened to her.

on one hand it took you spoiling the entire thing for me to truely want to play the game, on the other hand I am terrified to even touch it because some of those scenes would probably make me parnoid for months. looking at stuff for "everywhere at the end of time" made me absolutely terrified for weeks and months to where being in a room by myself made me terrified that something was going to get me.

I don't think I should play this game due to it's horror element. It would probably leave me paranoid and terrified for weeks or months.

I love how much harder the symbolism hits on a second play-through. My favourite moment is when Something appears in front of the tire swing in the Vast Forest. First time through, I figured it was just a little room so the scare would catch me off-guard. Second time though, I noticed the shape of the swing...

I just want more and more I cry when hearing it sounds again while I am at school I was really bored so I just learned good morning it helped a little

HOW EMOTIONLESS AM I? Like I find this game incredibly sad it is easily my favorite game, but I never cried once.

My 3 favorite games this year are: Pizza Tower, Omori, and Bug Fables. All 3 are amazing

Speaking of Aubrey, since it looks like they live in a small town (where everyone knows everyone), you would think that the townsfolk would've understood what Aubrey's going through instead of negatively judging her based on her looks and that her dad walked out.
It's like, "Aubrey, I know that your mom is drowning her problems with alcohol, your dad left you, and your best friend died. But, what happened to the sweet innocent girl that once looked like a small and cute version of Mari?"
