Akai E2 Headrush - Tape Echo Mode with 5 Different Amps (Headphones, please)

Ive done similar with the e1 using it as an effects send and returning the tape head outputs to 4 separate tracks all panned to different locations

I bought 4 of the same small amps just for the virtual head outputs. Different from the standard ping ponging effect I would record a thick textural ambient loop in front of the Headrush. Then by placing the amps in the 4 corners of the room when you engage the Headrush the sound circles the listeners and sucks them into the vortex.
