This is the first video of yours I've seen , so I don't know if you have a regulator mounted to the end of your generator . If you do , the battery positive lead
should be able to be hooked up to a switch to turn head(and tail) lights on and off . Be sure to polarize the generator first . Peter

My first HD was a ironhead with slash drags...sounds so damn good. Especially in mid-shift. Good trot. Good throttle response. You shouldn't need to kick that much tho. You've got power. Gas. Compresion. Fiddle with that mag more. Once you have a good relationship with the mag, you'll have a good one with the scoot too. Some cats will leave it slightly loose for warming up, then have like a little chain or some shit to hook on and keep it in place when it's ret to trot. You seem to know whats up tho....chop on.

I used to have an iron head kick only bike. I only owned it for a month and sold it. Got tired of damn there breaking my leg trying to start it. I got a 2004 Honda VTX 1800. 😊

You might check out Billy Lane. All his bikes seem to catch off the first kick. He may have some insight on the Mag, I know a few of his bikes run them. Super cool bike, I hope you get it where you want it, its sounds real close

Put Mikuni VM series carburetor on it. You'll lose a little performance, but gain reliably.
