One Piece live action is perfect

The death note adaptation was the absolute worst. The others were cringe, misguided and underwhelming at best. But death note spat at the face of the fans. Evolution was cringe. Death note made me angry

Honestly, I don't think any of the writes of these Anime to live action movies even read source materials. Even when the do Comic Book movies live DCEU and MCU the stories are never consistent with source material.

Every anime has a different art style that makes it unique and as much as I love the thought of bringing them to life on the big screen most of the characters just don't work for live action.

The funny thing is that when I watched the ghost in a shell live action movie it honestly reminded me of robocop or is that just me?

i know these entries arent all from netflix but they really are a plague for anime and not only for live action

Bato literally asks the major why she didn't choose a japanese prosthetic body it kind of plays into the point of the show /manga about the body is nothing but a shell and could be anything

No live action anime is good any live action anime in America is always bad one piece is going to be horrible trust me like when I'm right I'm right Death Note was horrible but the Japanese version of Death Note live-action and they made a dub version for that Japanese live action was perfect leave this s*** to the people who created it when y'all put your hands on this stuff you destroy it we like anime we don't want to stop liking it

i'm actually hopeful/interested in the live action one piece as it feels like they are trying while being it's own thing(actually like the idea of some things only in sbs/dialogue shown as it'd be daunting trying to copy the series one to one even if from the manga without some changes.) and the actors doing research seeing/reading the source material from databooks compared to the others where it's clear they didn't at all.(especially in cowboy bebop's case that made me super glad it was canned.)

compared to cowboy bebop which was doomed from the start(compared to oda actually being involved in live action one piece giving a blessing, the live action bebop being given basically "yeah good luck with that" by the creator/not thinking it would work, very ugly version of ed,really immature and surprisingly rather perverted writing with just as pathetically childish responses and ruining characterization.) and would've preferred a anime sequel showing faye valentine,ed & jet's lives after spikes disappearance,db evolution were even toriyama hated it(and is why the series got brought back to get that taste out with b.o.g.)/dragonball unless it's classic og is the only anime i can't see working at all in live action outside z's fighting.

actually didn't mind scarlet as motoko kusanagi but that movie was boring and the attempts to bring ghost in the shell's writing out failed focusing on trying to fix the easily avoidable issue and death note already had way better live action versions(worked on by the person who did the awesome heisei gamera films no less.:3)/it shouldn't have been light,l or misa and just been about the death note ending up in america as tying it to the main characters was pointless.

though i loved alita(the finale is too rushed though trying to fit the original's climax without time to breath or cut some things out to allow some characters motivation to shine.),jojo part 4(actually would love a sequel.) & the rurouni kenshin films.

Hey, couldn’t help but notice that motoko kusanagi being played by a white woman bothered you…and it’s a fair point as the creator of ghost in the shells vision should be faithful to his vision…

But are you willing to argue against the little mermaid being black as it’s a danish tale and the woman is supposed to be a white ginger woman?

Somehow I don’t think you will…

The one part of the Death Note Netflix thing that will keep baffling me is that Light was able to use the Death Note on Watari by just writing "Watari".
Either Watari is his actual, real name, which would mean he's stupid enough to give out his real name when there's a killer who can kill you if he knows your name.
Or that the writers didn't want to follow the rules of the Death Note for that point.

Either case, it was moronic beyond belief.

I’m really hoping the Yu Yu Hakusho live adaptation is decent, I loved the anime and would hate for the live adaptation to ruin it for people who are new to the series

The Prince of Tennis, Ghost in The Shell, Alita Battle Angel, Death Note 2006, Gantz, Parasyte, Gintama, Rurouni Kenshin, Terra Formars, Shinobi and Blade of The Immortal, are the best live action anime so far.
Fullmetal Alchemist is debatable.................. I don't like it.

I hated Netflix's "Death Note". The only two things I liked about it were Ryuk and L. Honestly, it wasn't the fault of any of the actors for the horrible script, but I liked what actor Lakeith Stanfield (from "Sorry To Bother You" and "Straight Outta Compton") added to the character of L. He made L interesting to me, at least.

Okay in death notes defense they were adapting two anime/manga at once also i think they were going for more of the manga which the first person to have the death note was super weak willed, yeah so I guess I should say i actually know this from the opening credits, also I hated this movie as well, in fact the girlfriend was closer to Light than Light was

To this day i cant understand how hollywood can adapt comics into fine movies but they make literal sh!t when it comes to adapting manga.

Most of the problem with Netflix's Cowboy Bebop stem from the main script writers since they were deadset on making the changes from the get go and taunting the fanbase with it on twitter!

Also i still dislike the fact that Death Note is being claimed as a Netflix production, yes they distributed it globally but they had no creative hand whatsoever, this was entirely the fault of WB. Still hate the adaptation though

Alice In Borderland and Kingdom.

One piece live will be absolute garbage. As will yu yu Hakusho. Netflix needs to stop this. They are not doing this well by any metric.

You know what's kinda sad about Evolution? I heard that the dude who played Goku actually did his homework by reading the manga, watching the anime, and even reading Journey to the West, the book that inspired the creation of the Dragon Ball franchise. And yet the movie still bombed.

I wonder if they got goku and gohan mixed up cause gohan did go to highschool and did act abit like a nerd and the actor does look like him lol
