This Event is organized by the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management

We’re about to see a new artificial intelligence (AI) revolution, driven by two major trends: first, the development of hybrid AI systems that combine techniques from AI’s historically disparate sub-fields, and second, human-centric AI, which gives humans more control over these powerful, intelligent systems. Can these trends help us master the technical, legal, and ethical challenges AI is still facing? In this lecture, WU Professor Marta Sabou will give an overview of these AI trends and discuss their impact on WU research and teaching.

Wir stehen am Beginn einer neuen Revolution in der künstlichen Intelligenz (KI), angetrieben von zwei großen Trends: zum einen die Entwicklung hybrider KI-Systeme, die Techniken aus den historisch getrennt gewachsenen Teilbereichen der KI verbinden, zum anderen menschenzentrierte KI, die uns mehr Kontrolle über diese mächtigen intelligenten Systeme gibt. Werden uns diese Trends helfen, die offenen technischen, rechtlichen und ethischen Herausforderungen in der KI zu meistern? In diesem Vortrag gibt WU Professorin Marta Sabou einen Überblick über diese KI-Trends und ihre Auswirkungen auf Forschung und Lehre an der WU.
