Its beautiful and always love your cinematography and how you use every lens
ОтветитьAnother fail. No Nikon F-mount.
ОтветитьHi Mathieu, didn't you make a video about the Meyer Optik Biotar 58mm f/1.5 lens? I can't find it. Now I'm not sure if I only dreamt about it :')
ОтветитьThat bokeh quality is so soft that it makes helios bokeh very ugly. Shame they didnt make more of these at the time. Feels closer to something hollywood would use than a helios or even petzval
ОтветитьIm really deep in the photography rabbit hole after trying to find the best camera for my gf. now im thinking of going into that hobby as well
ОтветитьIt's the best.
It's cool and amazing.
So cool
ОтветитьCaption idea: “I brought a camera to my dream and made this”.
Probably the dreamiest lens ever
Damn I dig your "way" of photography. You inspired me to finally cut off the rear housing to expose the rear element of my projector lens and generally determine infinity focus . . .then shoved it in a section of a Minolta extension ring with some black craft foam to take up the slop to "zoom focus". Gorgeous images; very high level of correction fer sure.
ОтветитьWords can not descrie how beautiful your cinematography is here! Thank you for making such beautiful art, and showing off a beautiful lens, but its not just the lens making it so special!
ОтветитьFine lens!
ОтветитьSo so so excited for this projector lens course!
ОтветитьI really liked the combo of visuals and music in this episode! Neeeat stuff!
ОтветитьI saw the short first and I thought "even more swirly than M42 Helios 80mm :) And my second thought was "very cinematic". Beautiful lense!
ОтветитьThe Navistar 75mm f/1.3 C-mount has a similar picture. Try the Olympus F.Zuiko Auto-S 38 mm f/ 1.8 on full frame gives a very interesting Swirly Bokeh with good contrast and color
ОтветитьVery cool. it's similar to my Kodak Cine lens, but that has a huge vignette since it's for 16mm film. but the extra space you get on the edge has crazy swirls.
ОтветитьIt looks like a 35mm projector? What size image was it designed to project? I'm guessing 3 elements in the lens (maybe 2 no need for a relay), no f-stops, shooting wide open, zero depth of field because it didn't need any. 75-100 focal length? Would love to see some festival lighting in the background at night.
ОтветитьI am looking forward to your videos on adapting the projector lenses! Can't wait!
ОтветитьI don’t know if it’s the video, but projector lens producers often take into account the curvature of the hot film in projectors and so they compensated with the glass.
ОтветитьI’m stoked about an upcoming course
ОтветитьI think you have found the Rembrandt of lenses!
Ответитьif wasn't so hazy, it would be nice. Thanks for the experimentation :)
ОтветитьJ'ai vu passer un Benoist Berthiot 80mm f1,8. Savez-vous si, question bokeh, il donne la même chose que le vôtre ? Merci d'avance.
ОтветитьVery warm lens
ОтветитьWhat makes it look like that?
Ответитьany proyector lens recomended for dslrs? since they have a longer flange distance u guess its bit harder to come by with lenses that can be used
ОтветитьBlow my mind everytime..
Those f pulls ...❤
I noticed the swirl is less obvious on non foliage objects. I like how it draws my eyes towards the center frame.
ОтветитьAmazing Mathieu, beautiful effect, draws the eye to subject in a very subtle way.
ОтветитьThe big brands should create a special edition lens with swirly bokeh
ОтветитьI'm surprised you haven't been poached by Hollywood!
ОтветитьFantastic!
ОтветитьHi, I just seen your video and find ir really interenting! Just wanted to tell you that we are a cinema produccion of barcelona and we habe a really wierd anamorphic projector lenses that we wanted to adapt so we can use it on cinema cameras. May be you are interested on helping us. We could talk and reach and agreemend that work for both os us. Hope I get a respone soon. Thank for your time.
“El Loro mudo”
Wow 3D PoP
ОтветитьWill definitely buy that course when you're finished making it!!
ОтветитьNice to see the light of life from another side of this lens, in a reverse reality order.
Thanks, Weird Optical Master.
Hi Mathieu! Been a while since I was this early to a video. Still love your content (and still very open to getting adopted)
ОтветитьDream like, so impressive.
ОтветитьI can't wait for the course! So excited!
ОтветитьYou always inspire me. thanks❤
ОтветитьNice!
Keep up the good work!
Je me permets d'écrire en français ^^
J'aurais tout simplement voulu savoir qu'est-ce qui causait un bokeh tournant exactement ?
Merci à toi, j'adore tes vidéos :)
thats a lot of swirl :)
ОтветитьIf you make them, you could sell them!!
I’ll be your first customer and advertiser!
This is amazing!!!
great work
ОтветитьYummy
ОтветитьLove the bird shots !
ОтветитьDo 85mm f2.8 35mm slide protectors lenses swirl? I see so many different slide protectors with the same focal length & aperture
Ответитьso dreamy, I reckon a lens like this with a cinema housing would do really well in a rental house
ОтветитьIt must be extremely strange if it stands out among other lenses you have reviewed.
