Zulrah Guide For Beginners OSRS 2023 - First KC For Diary!

Ok so it seems this is pretty much impossible to do as an IM unless you're really end-game. Went in with black d'hide, barrow gloves, saradomin helm. The damage is beyond insane. I'm out of food before he's even at 60%. Done it 25 tries now. This is with 95 range. Absolute only phase you take little damage in is green phase, but even then expect to take about 45-70 damage from the snakelings. Blue phase, you're chain chugging food so no damage can be done. He seems to only attack with the one you're not praying in that phase.

Important to know that you MUST charge your ring of suffering for the mini snake spawns to die! I went into this guide brand new knowing nothing about the ring of suffering, AND i SUFFERED for my first 10 attempts not knowing what was happening. kaoz failed to mention it’s ring of suffering (CHARGED)’s significance

I give up, I'm just throwing money away at this point. Fuck this elitist game. This should be an elite diary task.

If you don’t use rune lite, this guide is useless

Took me a couple hours but I finally got my 1st KC (really needed for diary). Died way more times than I would like to admit. I killed Zulrah using imbued magic short bow and amethyst arrows (would recommend using Amethyst over rune arrows as they do more damage and do not cost a ton). Also used Serpentine helm to avoid dealing with antivenoms.

I can't seem to beat the bastard. I've got 80 range and 80 mage, so I feel I should be able to no problem, but for whatever reason I look at the phase, and she's already changed and then I panic.. Might take a crack at hybrid when I can get the gear.

A helpful guide, though it would have been even better if you had mentioned that, in order to utilize the fairyring option, one must have an agility level of at least 76 to cross a specific obstacle.

i have no clue how you guys get KC with only range........ 100 plus range with full crystal armor i cant even get him half hp. on 4 min run........ but with magic and rage. even wtih my magic being 80 its easier to kill

The combo of 40+30's fucking sucks. Plus the snakelings' damage, which is also a huge wildcard between 1 and like 15. You can go from 80-90 hp to killing range within seconds and there is nothing you can do to prevent that. Luckily this only happens during mage phase. So karambwan + shark for combo eating is advised, otherwise, you will spend more time eating than dealing damage.

If you don't have the ring of suffering, you must keep an eye on the recoil, bring a spare, or you risk getting slaughtered by snakelings very quickly.

Also, after the rotation is complete, Zulrah starts to act randomly and you won't know in advance what it will end up doing in the next phase. It's not impossible to kill it at that stage, especially if it's close to dying, but if you regularly get to that stage, this means you need more DPS.

If you are struggling with switches, I heard you can mage your way through the entire fight (just switch protect prayers).

When it's red (melee phase), it is still a little weaker to magic than ranged.

Really difficult boss barely worth doing tbh. I bet if it wasn't for diaries, people wouldn't bother.

Thank you so much. I had tried a different guide first but that immedtly led to a death for my try. I just want to squeeze a KC out for western hard diaries. At last I managed to do range only with full invent of sharks. Worked. Thank you.

I was super struggling with the JAD phase and would always panic and get every pray switch wrong! instead just keep one style up and tick eat with sharks and karambwans, this helped me out massively

forgot to mention ya need 76 agility with dramen staff

For ironmen with no blowpipe, what is the best option for a ranged weapon? Imbued MSB or is there something better that isn't Bofa/Twisted Bow?

If you do not have the agil req for the fairy ring shortcut the best thing to do is put a catherby tele in your house and charter from there.
