i am a little on the fence here. 8000bitrate isnt even ''a high bitrate'' and i would personally go as far and say: if theres some special snowflake with an internet connection from the year 1980 who cant watch a stream thats around the bitrate netflix uses...who cares. Around here internet provider go around and sellout gigabit connections like its candy and thats basicly what most people have here because it doesnt cost more than alternatives.

it might sound harsh but to me an internet connection that cannot even get an 8mbps download stream is basicly unusable and i wouldnt even bother watching streams. i remember my dad buying dsl16k when i was in school and thats over 15 years ago allready and even that internet connection can do a 8mbps stream and we we re living in a small town even. so to me.. i dont know... you simply get left behind in the tech world at some point, it is what it is but lowering quality for 90%+ of your viewer simply because a handful of people got their internet from a medieval trader is not something i would do. at some point you have to stop supporting ancient technologie to force people and IPs to get better stuff.

i set my sream to 8000 bitrate with output resolution at 960p and for some reason when veiwing and in the vod it looks terrible. like its 480p 30 fps or something. i dont know how to fix it

Hey nutty, cannot remember for the life of me if you pointed this out, although I have noticed after using 7500 bitrate, I had a stream buffer of 32+ seconds but when I stayed at the recommended 6000 I had 2-3 seconds buffer time for viewers, that in itself made me drop the bitrate unfortunately # non partner is rough haha

Now the Twitch app to broadcast moved to the dash board on the console Xbox One X. You can't set the numbers anymore but it gives only a range.

When i do a broadcast test in OBS, my bitrate can only go up to 4000kbps and never goes up. Should i just change my bitrate setting to 4000 instead of 6000?

I didn't really get the greatest of stability for either myself or my viewers until I dropped my bitrate down to about 7100 kbps. But that's probably just my system and the fact that I live in the UK.

I'd have thought that 1920x1080 (multiply that = 1920px x 1080px = 2,073,600 = 2mb) 2000kbps ? 8000kbps seems very excessive? great tips though!
