Why NO ONE Plays: Azir | League of Legends

I thought meta was the latin particle of "something withing something", which in this case would be "the game within the game" referring to how players tend to decide based on things that may not be obvious to people outside of the game

I used to main him but they KILLED him. Nerfed damage multiple times, nerfed attack speed, you used to be able to cast w on turrets for damage, your E knocked up and shielded they removed both, then added the shield back, reworked the way his E + Q combo works so its shorter range and FINALLY removed the continuous knockback from bumping into his R. He just got buried by riot and then they will be like ":) rework because no one plays him 👍"

So I began using Azir as a champ after a fun game with him in aram. When I played him in blind/draft I began to realize why I rarely see anyone play him. I'm all for risk and reward, but its like Asol with his orginal kit I feel where it left him very vulnerable after using an ability. I hope to see a rework or something for azir like instead of having the soldiers only attack when you do. Make them attack when anyone is in range, and attack anyone you are attack aswell.

Too hard to actually pull off in a soloq game. That's about it.

Azir is absolutely amazing high elo because people know how to play the game, but absolutely terrible low elo because nobody knows how to play the game. Two simple reasons tbh

I was an absolute scrub at playing Azir before. Until, I discovered that you can bind attack move click to a button. Easiest champion in the game. Literal giga gorilla brain plays.

Tell me, why play a champion which you don't find fun? People seem to forget LoL is a game, and seem to like to torture themselves playing "the meta". I'm happy stopped playing that game it was very bad for my psyche, feels so much better now =)

I think Azir is just a little underpowered, but overall he is super strong, high-scaling late game carry. For me the reason he still has 47% winratio, while being unbuffed, is what best Azir players do with him. If you play him well, you can remain untouched during teamfight. He has really strong and safe farming tool and one of the best consistant poke abilities. If you play him correctly, you can easily win laning phase against most matchups, and even if you lose, Azir will easily outscale most of the enemies.

I main Azir since he appear in the game and I can ensure that is impossible to win a fight in 2022-2023. Yes, it is a difficult champion but now he is SO nerfed that the enemy just ignore your soldiers and one shots you no matter how well you place the soldiers, predict or move. The ONLY hability that prevents the enemy to kill you, were the R but that's history now because they can just pass through them, it's ridiculous because every rucking champion has a dash or something like that

so what you're saying is you can onetrick him and infinitely improve? and the entire time you'll be performing below your skill level (as he needs to be skillfully better to be effectively equal), leaving you able to effectively smurf on other characters you also enjoy and are good at when you feel like it? heheheha i know what must be done

as an azir main this is completely true unfortunately

back then when he was first released, I mastered him
immediately got lots of win from him and mostly I play mid lane but sometimes I end up support(thanks to lux)
absolutely no one can push the lane I'm in and always struggling to fight me head on and always needs to gank me just to fail misserably
tho I quitted for a long time(2 yrs or something) and came back so I'm very very rusty on azir

This didn't age well

But Azir is literally everywhere in tournament

Bro I am so happy that made all these changes in the new season currently 12.12 the durability changes, and making it harder to end due to objective bounties, and champions being more durable, I knew this would benefit him.

The reason why they give azir the passive to create a tower is just because they know that he will lose lane anyway ( no hate tho)

Like,my friend said that Azir is imbalance because you cannot kill his soldiers(what).Like,if you can,it actually will make him more imbalance in some way(imagine have wall of soldiers that close you from Lucian R)
