For those of you who don't know because this sketch doesn't mention it, there was a branch of German tanks who could only take orders from Hitler or Rommel. Since both were unaware of the invasion at first due to them thinking it was diversion from a different invasion that they thought the allies were planning (watch the movie or look up operation mince meat for more info on that) until it was too late and the allies had a stronger presence in Europe that would result in them winning the war.

They were already going to lose the war at that point. Stalingrad sealed the deal.

This is why it’s important to be nice some people say having friends is overrated but from this we learn that teams should trust each other if he had been a nicer boss mabye they would have had the guts to wake him up and tell him this is also why being evil is bad since his evil got him killed

June 6, 1944. The Nazis were expecting the Allies to invade by crossing the Channel at the shortest point in good weather. Allied intelligence agents reinforced that expectation through falsehoods and lies to known Nazi sympathizers. Rommel, who was a military genius, was in Berlin to celebrate his wife's birthday. The invasion at Normandy was the 2nd major battle of the war he wasn't there for. The 1st was the Battle of El Alamein in North Africa. He wasn't there because he got sick. The beaches of Normandy are on the part of the Channel that is the farthest away from Great Britain. The weather on the morning of June 6, 1944 was terrible. The Allied Forces of Great Britain, the United States of America, and the Free French stormed the beaches with surprisingly lower than expected casualties. Paratroopers landed behind enemy lines and moved west while the boats unloaded soldiers going east. The beaches were divided into five landing areas for British, Canadian, and American troops. The beaches designated Omaha and Utah were given to the Americans while the beaches designated Gold, Juno, and Sword were given the British and Canadians. Hitler was the only person that could give the orders to mobilize the Panzer units that could've made a difference. He took a sleeping pill and gave orders not to be disturbed before the invasion began. The highest ranked officer to storm Utah Beach was General Theodore Roosevelt Jr, despite crippling arthritis. He died of a heart attack later on and is buried next to his brother who was killed during World War One. General Roosevelt was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for going above and beyond the call of duty in leading his men into battle.

The Germans believed the invasion at Normandy was a decoy and that the real D-Day was going to take place at Calais. By the time it became apparent this wasn't the case and they mobilised, the Allies had already got a foothold on the beaches.

I admit I do love this episode buuttttt there is a couple of inaccuracies:
1. He was at the Berghof because his future sister-in-law, Eva Braun's sister, was getting married to Hermann Fegelein (you probably know who he is)
2. Most of the time, he can be charming towards others, especially women, unless you were obviously a Communist or a Jew (besides his mother's doctor). He only gets angry during war conferences, as seen in the movie Downfall.

Edit: he is still bad for killing 11 million people and starting a war.

He was in reality very kind to his personal staff. All his secretaries were very fond of him. He never forgot their birthdays and always gave them gifts.

Hitler had a massive sweet tooth. And yes, he would only eat toast with marmalade, and he had apple strudel every day.
