The bit at the end about "stop watching motivational content, it makes you feel like you're doing something when you're not" is the part of this video that actually got me out of a rut. Just cleaned my whole room after spending the evening just stewing in overwhelm. Thanks :)
ОтветитьEven though this video is 3 years old and is in the context of a world pandemic, its really relevant to me right now with an 8 week old baby & a toddler in the middle of one of the wettest most miserable English winters ever. Im stuck in the house, surviving on 3 hours sleep, surrounded by plastic tat from Christmas that i need to tidy up, and its hard working out the logistics of getting out the house with the 2 of them then even if i manage to get myself washed and dressed at a decent time the toddler doesnt want to play ball he just wants to sit in front of the tv and eat chocolate.
Meanwhile the house gets messier and dirtier and i havent got the energy to sort it as thoroughly as id like to. Need to stop beating myself up and remember that this time is very short. Was getting very frustrated with my stuckness and prayed to God to help me feel better. And he was like dude just go watch a Struthless video it always does the trick to get a bit of forward motion going 😊 cheers man love ya ❤
I'm an animator working at home, so animation actually IS the only thing on my list.
ОтветитьIm dumb how to become when you have little time resource.
ОтветитьUse spite to get moving! lol
ОтветитьThank you so much, I’ve rewatched a lot of your content each time I enter this cycle.
ОтветитьWish I found your channel 3 years ago during lockdown, where I literally did nothing for 5 months 😐 so relatable! But hey ho, we all have our own journeys and I'm finally getting out of that rut, (and also binging all your videos)!!
ОтветитьWooow! Thank you! Thank you very much for this video! I feel very inspired. And I finally feel that I really can get out of the rut this way. I appreciate you in my life 💖✨
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video☺
You inspire me so much...great work man keep it up👏
I make jewelry in my basement as an amateur metalsmith. It makes me so happy but some nights I just can't get off the couch. So I brought down a bunch of older pieces that need polishing or a little touch up and tell myself I'll just spend 10 minutes doing that, and then I'm free. Next thing you know, two hours have gone by and I'm working on something new 🥰
ОтветитьWatching this today helped me, and I am actually gonna go work on art now instead of doin the ol' endless scroll - thank you :')
ОтветитьThat pushing the rock analogy fits so much with my life. Sometimes I can push it 50 feet up the mountain, some days only 5 feet, but at the end of the day, it always rolls back down to the start and I have to start again all over again the next day and what the fuck is the point of pushing it back up only to start again? If only I could figure out a way to not have that boulder roll ALL the way back down to the start of the mountain, if only I could stop it somewhere middle of the way up so I can make some more goddamn progress up the mountain...
ОтветитьI love both your structure as well as how to convey the message across. This should be available in all forms, video(which it is), podcast, book, posters, may be a short film as well
Ответитьbinge watching you! thanks man!
a lot of things I needed to hear in a lot of your videos
Interesting…….start and motivation will come……thanks
ОтветитьRight ! I get a lot of pressure in my garden to grow vegetables I grow flowers lots of flowers. EFF 'em. Harsh thought maybe🤷🏽♀️
ОтветитьI can relate so much to this. Going through such a tough time in a rut right now and this made me laugh because i sooo relate!
ОтветитьYou forgot one thing. Laughter. Watch something or someone who makes you laugh, (like you). It's an old adage, laughter is the best medicine, but true. Suddenly things can shift into a new perspective. Thanks for the video!
Ответитьit took about 4 hours of your content over 6 months but I finally purchased 2 copies of the book! Hell yeah, Brother thanks for all the cartoons and actionable thoughts!
ОтветитьHave you tried yoga?
ОтветитьThank you! That was extremely simple, but I see why I'd miss that while I'm stumbling through my routine, distracted with scribbles in my head and searching motivation before any acts.
ОтветитьHonestly, I have tried so many systems. bullet journaling, fast logging, a diary approach but my previous ADHD screwed everything for me. Eventually, I got so fed up with self-help books and videos that I prayed to Jesus Christ. Of course, He answered, cleansed me with a holy spirit and since then I don't struggle with ADHD. It's like my headspace has received a new upgrade.
ОтветитьI love you my brother
ОтветитьWell I'm just discovering your page this year, this month and it's crazy in the first animation on this one is spot on especially with the Netflix omg...lol I'm so happy I found your page and am trying alot of your advice. Thank you!
ОтветитьSo much yes!!!
Ответитьunpopular opinion: homemade bread isnt that amazing
ОтветитьThose scribbled thoughts
ОтветитьYou should make a poster of yourself handing over diary and pen so I can stick it on my wall to remind me
ОтветитьI was in a rut just now and did all the things in this video. I felt so much better and wrote a script I actually liked for a short film. I’ve been struggling for one for a while.
Thanks man 🙂
"Your brain is not a storage locker, it's a computer, and that's the way that you gotta use it"

Ответить🤣 Competitive Cereal Eater😅😂
I needed to hear this (not the CCE, in that area I'm a professional)
But, it would be easier to hear without the background music.
OMG I'm one and a half minutes into this video and already relate 100%
ОтветитьI absolutely love ALL of your videos! And I am guilty of getting motivated by your videos but not actually getting anything done! Ouch! The truth hurts! Anyway, will you please make a video about how to cope with adult ADD? Thank you for all of your helpful insights! Please keep up the great work!
ОтветитьWhat software do you use when you animate?
ОтветитьSorry for the broken english.
Holy shit that animation was so reletable. It got me a bit too hard in the feel department. I was binging your videos lately they help me and make me feel better.
I am a self thought 2d frame by frame animator. Mostly aniamting for music or loopable gifs.
I seen some videos about the studio you guys made. It's inspireing. But I live in Hungary. And here every time I google for animation jobs I either get 3d jobs or the person who do workout with people.
Do you guys only wan't to with other animators locally or also part time across the internet? I would be interested to hear about the plans for the studio. Also if I have a chance to do art with you guys next to my full time job.
Thank you so much. How relatable was this down to the veggie garden. Awesome !!!
ОтветитьOne day I just want to make sure that she sees my smiling successful face and feels like a failure.
pauses and smiles 😭😂😂😂😂😂👌🏾I like it ..PICASSO
I'm in a rut right now and found this video. I have never felt more seen. I also high-key agree with using spite to fuel motivation lol.
I've been a subscriber for a while now and I love your videos. Thank you for this one!
Omg thank youuuu! I feel depressed and then more depressed to feel depressed for feeling guilty for having privileges. 100%SAME AS YOU DESCRIBED WITH YOUR ANIMATION!
