I'm curious why you waited until going into the nether to make a sword?
I remember that your earlier episodes left a sword out of your suggested early game set up? I'm curious if there is a reason.
Do you prefer using a pickaxe as your overworld weapon and a sword as your nether weapon - and if so, why?

I always considered the soulsand biome the hardest. Getting slowed to a crawl while 20 skeletons shoot arrows at you and 2 or 3 giant crying babies hurl fire balls. Its sub optimal to say the least.

So what kind of gear (with enchants?) should I bring into the nether beside iron pickaxes and a gold helmet? Can you find diamonds in the nether?

For maybe three days I was visiting this piece of shut or hell and my portal are in the worst place as a new player. Always 2-3 gath or wtf ever this flying piece of shut called and destroy everything. The cave where it stand looks like a damn cheese more holes when in a damn big one hole.
Before that the game was mostly calm and great, but after first visiting this shut hell hole, every 1s I swear like hell with that white fat flaying rat.

Tip: if you want to find a nether fortress try going to +/- 230Z (do this first always Z first) and then +/- 600X. You should, in one of these 4 locations (or on the way to one of these 4 locations) find a fortress.
