Most of these engines are actually 1998cc or 1996cc or 1997cc , what then?

There is one problem with these 2.0l turbo engines that is only discussed on forums: reliability.

Huh i’ve never heard of this 500cc per cylinder as the ideal, interesting and guessing Chevy didn’t either since they’ve been making their 6.2L engines for years, cheap, reliable and makes tons of power at 775cc per cylinder.

I have had many cars. The 24 valve V6 performs the best and still endures to this day. The 4 cylinder engines didn’t last.

One really great thing about standardization with 500 cc - car makers can finally tune their engines to perfection, especially in power output and mpg (hopefully in reliability too).

Great video until the dinosaur breakdown. EVs aren't the mammals to replace the dinosaurs. I used to think they were, but I don't buy into that anymore. I think EVs are standing on a cliffs edge staring into the abyss. Our world isnt set up for them. Neither environmentally nor ethically. Until the battery resource gathering processes and the overall energy crisis are resolved, EVs are a cute distraction.

Solar and wind are not the answer. Nuclear = #1. Hydroelectric where possible = #2. Geothermal? Maybe. More viable than the final option so make that = #3. Final option: fusion. Its a long way away, but there are cleaner-than-coal options to charge our EVs now. We just need to invest in them.

Did everyone just forget about the Mitsubishi FQ400?

Your little 400hp 4 cylinder turbo is not as efficient at 400hp as my 7.4 big block chevy. They will both consume about the same amount of air but a bigger na engine can run much leaner without blowing up. The real reason we have over complicated small turbo engines is that many markets get taxed on the size of the engine.

It's impressive what they can do these days. But I find current turbo engines ver boring to drive. Nothing beats a NA engine for pleasure driving and sensation. Or if you want boost supercharge it that enhances the curve of the engine but won't make it so flat. I like that torgue rises with higher rpm I don't like it the other way around like turbo engines do. But that is my personal preference. I know everything will change and will need to change for the environment. But if you put that aside high revving engines are a blast to use.
