Of course you'd be using a passthrough RJ45 connector. Trash.
Nice
How do you do that with the outer jacket is it all-the-way hollow empty or is there something in there
IEEE Standards... There is a tear in my eye
The moment you strip the jacket, you risked cutting into the The insulation of multiple pairs. You're only supposed to score the jacket, then snap it back and forth to ensure this doesn't happen. But great video otherwise.
Haste makes waste.
I used to make Ethernet cables
Don’t think the colors really matter as long as they match the opposite side right?!
My cat cable has a black and red wire??
I work at Progressive Office Cabling,we get it right the first time and always verify no shorts via cable certification
This is not the quickest way of assembling RJ 45
Also I’ve never seen someone stick a backwards head I was like an extra clip that does absolutely nothing
How is this "the easy way"? You're just doing it normally.
That was the slowest I’ve seen someone terminate a rj45
You missed one.
Nice
What crimper brand did you use?
Hi doing it in firstly.
Yeah we dont use the CAT6 type of RJ45 either cause clients keep pulling on cables and the one of the 8 wires wouldnt sit correctly anymore in the connector. Just use ones that dont pass trough.
As an IT guy, I HATE pass trough connectors.
May be personal but I don’t trust exposed copper on one end of the wire, just saying.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Love the outer sheath trick 👍
Guys crimped a few cables before.
I'd immediately fire a person for using these shitty connectors. This is for people who dont know how to properly terminate cabling. For those who are going to try to defend it, don't come crying to anyone when you short out a PoE switch with them and fry a section of ports. I did that, not knowing the cables were using this POS connectors. Needless to say I replaced every one that day after a massive spark popped in the back of a server when the wires hit the metal grounding faceplate in front of the port.
Ответитьet la masse :(
Muita frescura
Ответитьusing the sheathing to straighten the wires out im gonna have to try that
I could have done it without the pass through in the same time
Show us 6e outdoor cable. Coooooll
We do this too in school, but we did straight through cable, where the color combination is different.
1. Too many waste
2. My old conservative method is faster
Just attempting this process for the first time and wish i spoke your language, so i could understand the advice!! Could someone try explaining the advice as if they were trying to teach their grandad how to use a DVD player please?? 😉 THANKS
I don't understand why he needed to strip almost an entire foot off the end when you need max 2" for a passthru rj45 connector
This a serious short?!? Should be taken down! How to make something simple look harder than it is!!
Pass through crimps are armature hour
Great job🎉
Ответитьso awesome!
A ver, más despacio cerebrito!
I would just like to say that that is an 8p8c not RJ45.
Outstanding tools
