Is music basically just a missing piece of language that allows for explaining things that 'word language' can't do easily? Like a catalyst to make words' combinations have more profound and specific or implied meaning?
For lack of better understanding and use of words, does music = make language better?
Or am I wrong and I just can't use words to express things that music can? Because you seem to be able to use words to do that.
This is actually really clever!
ОтветитьGreat analysis.
Ответитьall i know is this justified me liking brightside all this time after all
ОтветитьA large portion of the opening half represents a panic attack to me, mostly for reasons you stated in the video. There is a detail you didn't mention though, or at least didn't pay much attention to. When he says the word chest, there's a slight raise in voice as he says it. It's like a very sudden involuntary delusion to avoid recognizing what is actually happening in that moment, adding to the awkwardness of it cutting off the prior rhyming scheme.
ОтветитьYou are so intelligent and so good at simplifying a complex concept for people like me
ОтветитьWatching these videos makes me wonder if the singers and bands actually think this much about their music
ОтветитьI love watching musicians overanalyze music <3
ОтветитьMe barely understanding what’s he’s talking about but still finding it fascinating because I love this song.
Ответитьweird, i remember vividly visiting vegas as a child and remembering hearing this song over the radio. though i dont remember the exact year, i do know it was around this time.
ОтветитьNanomachines, son.
ОтветитьHow bad does it suck that you're left handed?
ОтветитьEh learn to hold a pen... honestly its making me feel ill.......
ОтветитьI saw the thumbnail, read the headline not thoroughly enough, and in my head the little stick figure guy with cane and top hat was dancing to Mr. … Sandman. I think I need to go to bed 😬 And on that note, Mr. Sandman bring me a dream
ОтветитьMaybe it's too obvious for a music person to talk about (though the hanging rhyme feels obvious from a word person's perspective, so who knows), but I've always loved the little quote of Beethoven's Ode to Joy near the end. Feels just the right kind of sarcastic/oblivious/naive.
ОтветитьWtf am I watching? Im so enthralled, and you explain it so eloquently, as you also visualize your words in a fun way.
ОтветитьThere was a club I went to in college that would always play Mr Brightside around 1am when everyone was ridiculously drunk. Somehow really always managed to get the hype ball rolling back on.
Ответитьleave it to heartbreak to create the best music
