How to use the Zoom H4N portable audio recorder

You keep referring to the recording time shown on the display as timecode. It is not timecode. It is merely the recording time and does not give you the ability to sync to timecode of video.

Hi, great video! Thanks so much for taking the time to put this together!! Do you know if there is a remote mic adapter for the H4? Something I could plug into the "2" input that would connect to a remote mic placed elsewhere in the same room? Thanks, keep up the great vids!

I couldn't understand the Zoom H4N instructions from other videos, or the instructions were insufficient. This video, by contrast, tells me everything I need to know to understand what I'm doing, and get up and running using the H4N today. Thank you.

I have now a buzzing sound in my H4n. It seems that it INSERTS time in the recording, because if I just delete the buzz almost the song recovers the natural tempo. Almost… I have to make some calculations to delete the exact time, and then correct the sound. It happens more and more often.
Has anyone experienced something like that?

Why is the recording level on the right channel quite a bit lower than the left channel? That happens with me. It can peak on the left channel but be fine on the right channel.

Sigh!!! But how do you use a plug-in microphone??
