How To Make A USB Mic Sound Like A $2000 Studio Microphone

How come
OBS can't pick up audio from a different input? When I play Xbox 360 and the channel has to be on HDMI 1 OBS won't let you select HDMI 1. My cpu is on HDMI 2 and I have 2 TVs as monitors

This is definitely going to be helpful to me in the future but unfortunately I can't afford to buy reaper right now. Someday though.
Any budget-tips on what I could do now with my current mic instead? I just want it to sound better.

I’m really struggling with OBS to do this. My monitoring isn’t working at all and I don’t know what to do. I have my monitoring device set to my headphones and have monitoring turned on and I don’t get any audio. If I record the audio and export it, it’s working fine and records. But I can’t get a live preview

gonna try this when my mic arm comes in. right now my mic is about a foot away from me, so, it wouldn't make sense to apply these since my mic will be closer

i got a $40 mic from Amazon but I don’t like the stand it came with so if I’m ever in the market for a new one o know where to go for an upgrade

I always had a problem with my OBS mic filters not seeming to carry over to discord??
After testing this easily by putting the noice gate at maximum it really shows that I doesn't carry over for me.

Any thoughts on this?

I eq, compressed n edited my audio so I'd sound better when i talk to people in game or in discord but it doesn't sound the same. Like in the OBS itself i can hear that the edits that i did n i sound different, soothing. But when i record my audio in voice recording or talk in Discord. It sounds like i haven't eq or compress anything. It sounds unedited basically even tho it edited the audio. Like before it wasn't like this, after the update that happened n yes all the input audio i chose the mic im using. Please someone help 🙏🏻

Nobody ever mentions this: most mics use the same capsules. They're all the same mics. The only difference is the Amp circuits and the case.

For some reason, I can't replicate the results you get. I spent half an hour adjusting EQ on my Wave 3 mic, and it doesn't sound anywhere near as good. It seems to me like you're actually doing more audio editing with better quality EQ than ReaEQ that you aren't showing, or you're just flat out lying about which mic you're playing sound from.
