No terminus love rip
ОтветитьIf you publish or write documents in custom fonts, and if someone else goes to open those documents and they don't have the custom font, what happens? Do they get jibberish? or does it just convert it to something like a generic font?
Thanks.
I always thought Iosevka was read as "yo-sev-ka"
ОтветитьI use Comic Mono and it's my favourite because it's so easy to read and looks pretty. And I say this unironically. And no, I don't have dyslexia either.
ОтветитьWhy do I feel like number one is a joke?
ОтветитьShureTech Mono should be number one on this list.
ОтветитьSo, the list was reversed?
ОтветитьHack is my go to
ОтветитьIdk if comic mono is there for a meme but I actually considered it pretty much from the beginning. I wish alacritty supported having bold in sans serif and italic in some cursive font and the default is some kind of serif
ОтветитьBoomer didn't know lazy is the mother of invention? If you want something done efficiently ask someone who's lazy
ОтветитьLook at inconsolata-g. It's quite nice. I wrote about it in the comments section of your video on why you spent 30 EIR for a terminal font.
ОтветитьMy favourite is Jet Brains Mono. That's just perfect.
ОтветитьOk, he is trolling xd
ОтветитьSF Mono is a good font. Simple and easy in the eyes. I personally do not like FiraCode seems really ugly to me.
ОтветитьMy favorite font because I find it the nicest looking but also the easiest to read is Menlo. I am happy because DejaVu Sans Mono and Hack are both free and basically the same, but there is something about the things Apple did to make Menlo (Specifically the underscore, dash, 0, and asterisk) that make it my favorite font. The l and 1 distinction is also super on point
I also really like how the linux distros I use use DejaVu Mono as the default mono font so the transition is pretty seamless.
I really like Monaco (a bespoke Apple font) and SF Mono too but not as much as Menlo. I like Fira on my Good Retina display but on my sad old 1080p monitors it blows lol. Menlo works at any resolution and size
I personally use Times New Roman for my IDE, not the Cascadia Code.
ОтветитьMy current top 5
1. Ubuntu Mono
2. Liberation Mono
3. Hack
4. Dejavu Sans Mono
5. SF Mono
Terminus has been my go to font for years. It works.
ОтветитьWell, it turns out comic mono isn't the best font ever, as you switched to comic code in a later video.
ОтветитьIf you don't agree with that, you have ✨poor taste✨💅🏻😌. Deal with it 👇💥
Ответитьbro wtf was that intro...
Ответитьi'd love iosevka even more if there was an option to make it less thin
ОтветитьEveryone and everything is tech related nowadays but that doesn't imply intelligence or hard working! For example, I was working as on coding consultations for a digital marketing company previously. I was working remotely. I found the work easy, so I ended up sleeping a lot on the job. I still got all the work done. But the others got so jealous they ganged up on me and made the boss fire me! So it seems you can get more in life by complaining than being more intelligent.
ОтветитьInconsolata looks nice, too.
ОтветитьIosevka is so amazing
ОтветитьMS Comic Sans.
Ответитьdon’t sleep on Roboto Mono, people. I find it to be basically SF Mono but better.
ОтветитьQuick quiz: If several people say you're a prick and your parents just failed to educate you properly, will you go mad and cut your wrists with a razor, you know, like a "kewl, modern kid" OR spend some time thinking about "how to speak to other people without risking a shovel in the face even if I consider myself to be a genius" ?
Came here to see what you have to say about fonts and closed the video after less than 25 sec. GG ! Rare achievement.
Comic Sans Mono? WTF? ha, ha, ha… You must be kidding, right? So, Iosevka Extended, that's the way you go for terminal. Don't forget Noto Sans Mono, a great contender between SF Mono and Fira Mono/Code.
ОтветитьI think its not just about the fonts, its also about where u use it, for example the same font does not look the same across different operating systems. Adding more, the same font will not render the same in all programs within the same OS. Just as an example, the font u like the most Comic Mono looks so ugly in Rider IDE, but it looks a bit better in WebStorm and might look better in Visual Studio code. So, from my experience you not only have to check the font, but also where u use it.
ОтветитьEuropean Typewriter Font.
micdrop
Iosveka also has an advantage when it comes to CJK users, because it is exactly half the width of CJK characters.
(CJK: Chinese, Japanese, Korean)
Damn, Didn't know I could change ide font. Thanks
ОтветитьInconsolata...
ОтветитьProFont is awesome but it lacks italics
ОтветитьSauceCodePro Nerd Font
ОтветитьHey Wolfgang, im currently learning how to use vim and learned about its immense configurability. Would you mind showing your config or to share some advice for a lil newbie like me?
ОтветитьI just switched to monolisa. I love it so much that I even changed my phone's font to monolisa as well.
ОтветитьHow do you turn on the syntax highlighting? I have the same theme "nord" but the text remains plain white.
ОтветитьI agree about Iosevka. It's a very sexy font but it's a bit too narrow and hard to read. Switched to Fira Code recently and it's much better on my eyes and just as sexy.
ОтветитьJetBrains Mono? Cascadia and FiraCode are too complex for me. I did not know SF mono. Before JetBrains Mono I used mostly Consolas or Droid sans mono slashed (variant with slashed 0). Fira is likely my favorite sans font together with PT Sans, Arial and Roboto. Sometimes good old and boring fonts are the best - unless you are making presentations. Favorite color scheme? Default one in VIsual Studio or Nord.
Honorable mentions: IBM Plex Mono, Hack, Terminus with powerline for minimalistic screenshots.
I have so much hard time choosing fonts I almost always end up going back to Consolas or that default monospace font in my Linux distro
ОтветитьI use Open Dyslexic
ОтветитьI'm trying comic mono in my ide now
ОтветитьIosevka is wayyyy cooler than you'd think. It has endless customizability, down to the spacing, weight, etc, and the user can build it themselves. There's also a version of the font called extended, which takes care of your spacing concerns.
ОтветитьMy favorite font is roboto mono, and for bitmap font I use cozzete.
ОтветитьOverpass Mono !!!
Ответить
