Looking back on this game now that Brady has announced his return, this game gives a clue about how his career likely ends. Tom Brady probably isn't going out gracefully on a white horse after yet another Super Bowl victory. He just couldn't. That would show him that there's something left and despite everything else that he has in his incredible life, it would gnaw at an obsessive competitor like him forever. What's much more likely is that he will have to struggle and be exposed for an extended period of time, perhaps to the point where he's finally forced to be benched, and even then he's going to be fiery and defiant about it. He's going to need to squeeze everything out, be shown unambiguously time and time again that he's done, basically be forced out and maybe even finally cut, possibly even multiple times if other teams continue to take a chance on him. He's not going out without a massive, inevitably losing fight, a fight against time itself.
